Devs; how to fix the network issues.
Players get kicked from servers whenever their client or server looses packets.

The number 1 reason for this is wrong video settings! Whenever fps drops or theses severe stuttering the CPU fails to handle packets as a result player gets kicked.

There are several ways to avoid this:
1. Add tolerance to the network feed so that there's waiting before player gets kicked (ie message loosing connection etc)
2. Decrease network sync but add player sync client wise for smooth syncing.
3. Add more clear info tooltips on video settings, maybe warn players that video settings affect gameplay stability. Add more video options that control what's done in the game, the more the better thus players can adjust what eats most resources. Add fps counter in game settings and a vram + ram stat there as well so players can see live what setting does what.
4. Optimize the game further obviously.
5. Add a ram and vram cleaner script to dump inactive assets out of use so that ram and vram don't get filled up, also add a key combo like in all Arma games to dump these (Ctrl+shift+ flush) or a button that pops up in escape menu somewhere that once clicked does this.

If you're a player:
1. Adjust video settings to a point you get stable fluid fps, your GPU vram and ram aren't filling up too fast or fully. See what works best. Most consuming are environment detail, textures, shadows, render quality. Enable Fidelity FX to gain more fps (it's an analog to Nvidia dlss) basically don't force your game settings, use what works for you. Best way to optimize is to go to Game Master in single player mode and adjust there.

And I have 3060, what's your point? If you have nvidia rtx all games must run on ultra all the time? Lmao.

Yes the engine has serious issues, and this post is for devs to fix them not for you to nag. Go play cod or csgo.

Me and my buddies hosted a server, optimized video settings, server settings and packet loss ratio, no dc no crashes. 30 people playing sometimes.

All who use ultra everything and expect the engine to handle ram and vram use get dcd, Yes devs didn't add a better allocator but they probably will. This isn't a complaint post but a fix suggestion one.

Ping kick happens due to unstable fps, your pc gets chocked so much your cpu can't handle internet traffic so you get ping kicked. Use normal settings.

Played on "low", got "Internal error".
Also had my framerate drop below 1 fps mucking about with a truck stuck in a wall. It did *not* get me disconnected.
So much for this theory.

Plenty of reasons for the drops, the topic I mentioned is just one of them.

The game is a mess, playable if everything clicks in place. Been playing for 2 days now no dcs anymore for me.

On your own server? Or on public ones?
If on your own, is it open or private?
It appears that as long as traffic is low, disconnects are minimal. It might be that having lots of connection attempts going on tosses the server into a weird bug.

actually makes sense, seen this problem back in the OFP days

this is where i have to agree on. I wish BIS to put if not the biggest, but very big effort to squeeze the maximum out of it! I still do remember arma 3 multiplayer experience, all choppy esp. on large scale 100+ players squad games. Since reforged doesn't have so much content now, we could have at least a smooth multiplayer experience.
