When you join a random server do you typically know what your mission in-game is like Hell Let Loose, or is it more of a sandbox/every man for himself?
Yes people use voice chat, its very, very active in-fact, I am 46 years old and have played online games for years, BF series, Hell let Loose, S.Q.U.A.D, old school COD to name a few, in regards to in-game VOIP Reforger is way more active than them all from my experience.
Also yes you have "missions" or points to fight over and capture actually, you are much, much more effective grouping up and working as a squad in Reforger, going lone wolf, Rambo style will get you no where really apart from killed pretty quick, the Rambo strategy is not fun in Reforger.
Reforger at its core is designed to be a team/squad based game.
The game is focused in Multiplayer CTF games and Coop Resistance mission.
you can play SP but it has its drawbacks and currently isn't (imho) aimed at the SP community.
