Reforger or invest into arma 3?

I love the Co-op vs Ai incursion mode I think it is. Love starting from basically nothing to eventually you are now a major force on the map taking territory. Managing resources ect. ect.
Does reforger have this or is just too soon to be worth it?

Arma 3 is not the best of the series ... sadly. Arma was better.

ArmA series is awesome. Now depending on what you want to do :

ArmA Reforger is PVP/COOP oriented for now.

ArmA 3 is fully devlopped with alot of DLCs, Creator DLCs and mods from the workshop and his cost is higher, so wait for sales and buy bundles.

invest as in money, I already have arma 3 just not dlcs. I would like to have the same if not better co-op experience in the reforge if not. I will just get the dlcs as you said waiting for a sale.

It look maybe expensive for a steam game. But seeing all the mods and the active community, there is enough to justify the actual price of the game.

It's not like Arma series, meaning, there is not really heavy vehicule (apart in some mods and server modded). And there is no real single player campaign, so if, like me, you like arma for the Single player missions, you will be disappointed. It's really mainly focused on Multiplayer Battles.

The game is balanced good enough. I've never see a pvp war game balanced as good as Arma Reforger. Even Hell let Loose map feel so much unbalanced compared to this title.

If you are not sure about you, i suggest to watch a let's play before buying. There is plenty of streamer covering the game.

I believe you can still run the map in coop with three or four players if you don't like pvp.

if your main justification is PVE / Co-oP id say get DLC's
Apex as a dlc is orientated around being a co op campaign for example

Reforger has very little in terms of PVE Co-OP

I'm suprised so many are advising against PvE in Reforger, I've found it to be very engaging and fun.

If you are more into PVE content go for ArmA 3. It offers way more in that regard. PVP wise I would say go for ArmA: Refunder. But be aware that both games have very bad netcode. While ArmA 3 manages to keep sync, Refunder manages to loose sync a lot which can turn PVP gameplay into pure painfull comedy scenes.

The difference is in reforger this pve cant really be performed alone. most of them rely on gamemaster

Completely false. I play PVE with 4 friends using Gramps303 PVE. Our server runs 24/7 for the most part, and the map can take us a week to complete. There is no GM unless I choose to login to address a bug in the game.

Having played APEX extensively with the same group we currently have playing Reforger, I can say it takes significantly longer to complete the Gramps303 Everon PVE than it does APEX. The main difference is no story line in Reforger, but you actually do a lot more.

However Gramps PVE is but one mod, and still doesn't really show off AI to any extent close to A3's including the commands.

Reforger for PvP, if you want PvE id say stick to Arma 3.

weird. I bought arma 3 about 4 years ago. a game is less than a single night out for dinner..
