I keep loosing firefights with the M16
The M16 itself is not a bad weapon but, Arma Reforger just doesn't have the net code for a burst fire weapon.

its the iron sights that get me killed i feel like. always liked an "open" site better.

gotta lvl up fast n get the m4 or just grab an ak off the AI or players u kill
The base m16 sucks try and level to corporal as soon as possible to get the carbine variant that isn't garbage and also the red dot so you can see beyond the iron sights.

Precisely, the burst fire mode is most excellent, it's the netcode that makes single shot spamming and or full auto dumps more efficient because 30% of the shots either due to the ballistics engine or the netcode go nowhere, there wouldn't be so much crying over a perfectly good burst mode rifle if it wasnt for that, that and people failing to understand we have defeated hordes and hordes of rpg carrying ak spammer russians as long as the front line had cohesion and was supplied. the front troop rifle makes a ~5% difference in what a team can and cannot achieve in conflict mode......

I just hate mag dumping enemies for them to shrug it off like I am using a nerfgun. I immediately change out the M16 for a M21 as soon as I unlock it.

i dont play nato because of it
During day fights, visibility isn't great but it's ok.
At night, with those stupid sights, you can't aim for crap.

thing is, IRL ghost ring sights on a m16 don't obscure the target like it does in Arma Reforger. IRL you focus on the front sight and the ghost ring becomes blurry and nearly invisible(hence the name, ghost ring). in Reforger, both rear and front sights are in focus, which blocks your targets. it's not really accurate.

Netcode is a huge issue. But next to that is the low AP values most guns have. The SVD and M14 absolutely smash targets down with a single hit as long as you use the last AP rounds.

Kinda awkward that AR-15s and AKs kill so slowly in ArmA when not being used fully auto. Vests of those areas shouldnt be able to really stop the rounds used in game. And they dont. But they still absorb a large amount of damage. Doesnt matter if you hit the chestarea of the enemy or just the shoulders which makes it very inconsistent.

They really need to lower time to kill, add more injury related penalties (limping or using both arms) and make medics more viable. 2-3 rounds with an M16 or AK should bring you down or rattle you enough to make it harder to return fire for a second.

agree, up the damage and bleeding for vanilla, for WCS it seems to be there???

Fun, isn't it? Especially if you then switch sides for a few matches, and check how you do with the AK. You will find: Soviets are easy mode when you're used to use the M16. It feels like a joke. That's why where ever you look, Youtube, Twitch, Reddit - most people upload videos from the soviet point of view. Because the default AK and the RPG are so much easier to find success with, and success looks better.
Russian PPE seems way better, UN forces take ak rounds to the helmet and die, Rus takes m16 to helmet and lives... Same with the body armours, I have been stitched up as the Russians, never UN though, always a few shots and dead lol. I always play Russia ( just so i know the uniform and never have the friendly fire problem). Didn't know about the m16 being trash until i took one off a UN and weh... When i shoot someone in the face they should die.... Not have a wounded head lmfao. lol atleast let me take the damn sight rail off and change for normal irons instead of fkin peeps

With how people write their complaints here 'M16 BURST BAD RATATA AK GOOD, M16 MAKES ME PLAY LIKE NOOB' like I want to believe if there is an issue, like I want BI to see into it if there's an issue but I'm starting to suspect it's more of a ,uh, player and team issue.........

Console players and newcomers prefer US,on modded it's 50% 50%
