So are M16s just bad?
Is this why US forces lose 90% of the time? The basic kit provides a weak rifle, that can't drop enemies as consistently as the AK?
Or does the US force just attract bad players?

I think it just attracts newer players but most often its really up to bad teamwork and zero communication where people aren't working in tandem and sometimes against each other as i see sh1t from both sides. While default soviet kit has full auto and can best m16 through accuracy by volume, shot placement is still king for any weapon system.

Learn to hip-fire at close-med range with the M16 and it's on par with the full-auto AK.

I think it might be a bit of both, AK can go semi or full auto which make it good from both long range and close combat compared to the standard M16.

Also lots of people join the US because they think they can play Call of Duty lonewolf sniper Seal Team 6, either goes solo in the middle of nowhere or just trash talk on the coms.

Don't think so, I like to steal US gear when playing soviet, they are all top notch...
Never dropped American for Soviet unless out of ammo.
The only thing the ak, the universal jack of all trades does better is just that, ok as a machine gun, ok as a rifle in single shot, ok up close, nothing great nothing terrible.
In fact looks like the 5.45 does less damage than 5.56 , so I guess it boils down to, you know, uh the user not the gun

The M16 definitely feels better with this update, but a large part of it is Russian armor just being better than US.

I just can't use the m16 due to the ugliest iron sight, by all means try to find and pick up the ak.

I think the m16 is decent enough, the issue I see is that the AK can put down accurate full auto mag dumps which makes the m16 feel very weak in cqc situations. Combine that with russians having better armor and the AK using a larger caliber. Then mix in some desync/hit reg issues and yea

Only the fia rifle uses a larger caliber the ak uses 5.45 and the m16 5.56, they should be ballistically quite close

I think one of the reasons the USA loses so often is every time you kill one of them, they are loaded down with so much needless kit they are waddling about. heaven knows what it all costs in points too
US loses 90% of the time because more inexperienced players join the side and also it has a higher percentage of console players. In my 350h of playtime so far i always see more xbox/ps players on US than on soviet
The best way to win a fire fight is to shoot as much lead as fast as possible in your enemies direction, and seeing the M16 can't go full auto, the AK will win that situation 99% of the time.

Your team's victory does not depend of the rifle you use in this game at all, it depends of how good your team coordinates with each other and communicates and if you have a good handful of people on your team, that does supply runs and perhaps provides some mortar support.

The standard issue rifle has next to no impact on the outcome of the match.

Also, the M16 is not weak. You play this rifle on semi fire, as as you should play the AK on semi fire, it drops enemies the same way as one or another, in fact, the M16 even appears to have less recoil.

Last but not least... YES! U.S forces do attract just bad players in general, as all the console kids want to play " the good guys " and have been raised on hating the Russians/Soviets, assuming they are bad and have inferior equipment, which is not even true. So you got that one right.

Well, you won't hit anything spraying full auto, run out of ammo quickly and reveal your position a lot more...so no, thats certainly not it. You have been playing the game wrong.
