What I never understood is that conflict by itself is a casual esc gamemode. It has milsim "aspects" but very tame.
For all this talk off casuals ruining my milsim game or milsim players ruining my casual game. They don't make servers geared towards them.
Of course you have servers where they impose social rules where admins kick you if you don't play the way the server wants.
But say players want to just have access to the guns while learning the basics, what's the harm in having a less restricted server designed for casual play. Players that would disrupt milsim servers have their playground and if they want they can give milsim a try.
Logi supplies are greater and the armory has less restrictions on it(normal weapons no lock but explosive and mortars still do).
And reforger is made more for teamplay and tactical than other games.
The only problem are the most console-kiddie-player with their behaviour. So they use the voicechat for all nonsense or other small talk, but not for a the communication you need for the game.
Or they crash every vehicle ,have absolute no plan how to play a little bit tactical.
Or the teamkills. Yesterday i join a server and such idiots laugh about may name...look at me and shut me down. Very typical for such stupid console kiddies. I can give you a lot of more examples, but i think manyother player they prfer more serious tactical gameplay know about such problems.
And yes,you dont must play it 100% like milsim, you can use the voicechat for some jokes or smalltalk.
But the problem are the many console kiddies they have absolute no interest to play this game tactical, They use this games as a platform to make nonsense/teamkills every time and destroy every gameplay experience.
So often i lost every fun to play since seconds after join a server and the first i hear are the stupid laughing, nonsene in the voicechat from such stupid console player.
The voice is made for communication youbeed for the game....but most time you heared the idiotic console kiddies with all not game needed communiction.
And when you drive with such kiddies you have a very good chance he will crash the car. And what happens after the crash.......yes idiotc stupid laughting.
Or they are to lazy to walksome metres and they drive tillenemies feet instead of sneak with some teammates to enemies location.
Such kiddies have absolute no plan with the easiest tactical gameplay in tactical shooter,
Fact is the playerbase is much more khorrible with crossplay like without crossplay.I play since ofp-release and sure you have alwasy some mainstreamchildren tooin the matches. But crossplay is very horrible for this kind of game.
Either don't go on crossplay servers or learn to tolerate their noobishness. I personally look at it like crossplay can enable people like my friends who have consoles and have never been able to play ArmA before or have never gotten into the game are being given their first chance to actually enjoy arma, even if it is confusing for them, it still matters to players and the company that there is more accessibility. It is actually way more important than those console players being annoying.
They are more often times than not new to the franchise entirely and that means they have lots of hours left to go. It took me at a few hundred hours to fully get down pat arma 3's functions and i still wasn't the best, still not. so i don't think these newly fresh console players will hop in a game and do everything right. I'm more so not happy with the state of the editor than I ever would be about crossplay!
