Devs can you Disable 3PP on Foot and set only 1PP ?

Seriously every guys camping in Third Person an don't move, waiting for someone hided.
I think the 1PP need to be only used on Foot and 3PP on vehicles.

I agree that 3PP should only be available to vehicle drivers/pilots. It's a "no-brainer" for the devs to make this change and I don't understand why it is not implemented.

A lot of people have been doing this since the beginning of arma, gathering information in third person to only get out of cover for a second and strike. If they made 1PP official servers, i would absolutely main that. Imagine the encounters we could have with someone or yourself running out of cover to freelook at certain direction then make a play off that.

What you should really be asking of BI in this regard, is a search filter in the server browser itself so you can filter by preference. Because Force First Person is already a server setting that allows server owners the choice ... and yes, some have taken that choice.

ARMA is a series that has had 3PV for over 25 years, it's not being taken out now.

why would one use 3PP, I know it has existed since OF but it breaks the immersion and fun, besides the APC interior is cozy.

Because this is not just an online multiplayer game, played only by PvP players or even mil sim players either.

For every person that wants to be fully immersed in first person, there is another that just likes to see the character they are playing as in the game world for whatever reason.

Stop asking for less, ask for more.

Not asking for less, just wanted to know what is the kick you get out of it not being in the first person, like Tomb Raider games in 3PP make sense for obvious reasons but for milsims, too much immersion taken away.

I don't play conflict or PvP, I have zero thoughts or feelings towards first person or third person what so ever, I'd say that in the thousands of hours I have in the series since Flashpoint I have just swapped between the 2 views for loads of reasons. Yes, I do tend to stay in first person during a fight and yes, I don't usually use 3rd person to 'cheat' ... not that the AI cares, and I have been in unit operations with other players where first person was forced.

But I am not a slave to the idea of first person being forced wholesale and am very much of the opinion that players should be allowed the choice, which they are. The problem is not that 3rd person exists, it's that you can't easily find servers that disable it for the people who don't want to play against people using it.

I personally play 1p only, even in vehicles. I play for immersion and 3p just makes the game arcadey imo - I certainly dont need to know 'what i look like'

Plus.... 3p wall peeking is basically a wall hack. On my server, it's off.

I love both 1st/3rd pp.. the server host can and should set this and then their should be filters so if you wish to join 1pp only etc you could but definitely not force it from the dev side.
