This game is genuinely one of the best games I have played in the last few years, so it is extremely fitting that some people with community power go out of their way to ruin the experience. I already record every second of gameplay, not because I want to upload clips, but simply because I've already played this game for a month, and had more problems with players and admins than in any other game I've played.
I'm not exactly an angel, and I've trolled in lots of games; I've had lots of accounts banned for various forms of "toxic behavior," but I've never seen a game where I have legitimately done so little, compared to the problems I've encountered. I don't feel the need to record any other game for anything other than enjoyment; this is very sad.
I've even played plenty of other milsims, all of which are not as good as this one. I hate that a game I've been addicted to in a way I haven't been in years is being ruined, not because I'm ruining the community, not because I'm "cheating" (read: not hitting bong rips every 5 seconds, having a reasonable reaction time/aim/common sense etc), but because some servers that run better than average employ nerds on a discord server who refuse to judge righteously.
My first experience with this server was an unknown admin completely making ♥♥♥♥ up about what I was doing; If I had not recorded the entire play session, I would still be banned from the first time. The fact that I, personally, got unbanned TWICE should at least make an admin take a closer look at what I have to share. They don't care, they will just make up a sob story about how they were swatted, and ban us. Lies on lies on lies.
After the second ban, the admin accused my friend of walling; he claimed my friend traced him through a wall, went outside and killed him. When we watched the recording from our perspectives, it was painfully clear no cheating was occuring; enemies had been firing out of the house for literally over an HOUR, and we went around there searching for their radio. Didn't find it, and I grabbed their vic and slammed it into the wall. I wanted to test the explosion mechanics against a player inside a building (my friend), and it just killed me in the driver seat. Meme, we laughed, whatever. Rewatching the clip, hearing us laughing and joking, methodically deconstructing what these bozos were trying to do (and failing), it was so obvious we were not cheating the admin had to run away.
These particular admins will start off really strong in their rhetoric, but it is just that - rhetoric. I had to cut the guy off multiple times to tell him "yeah, cool, you can watch my perspective right now, I'm streaming it to you." They are more concerned with telling you how much they "have" on you, and when you come to them with complete transparency they are at best mildly annoyed.
I agree, this is something that really shouldn't be allowed, as it makes the community way more toxic than it needs to be; people in general already have the tendency to be toxic in several different ways, the last thing this game needs is admins who will run to the police to file false accusations against players.
I don't know if they are actually going to, but for their sake I hope they don't turn it into a discovery session with lawyers.
At any rate, Bohemia should absolutely not allow admins who do this to continue, at least without a serious warning. I talk all sorts of ♥♥♥♥, but I have never gone out of my way to actually harm anyone or any entity (server, forum etc), no matter how much people have offended me. That being said, according to lots of people on the forums, we just had a massive DDoS attack a month ago; what happens when these bozos lie about the wrong people? I'm not the only person that has had problems with this server, and I've even had the misfortune to hear certain admins run their mouths about random players in their server. When they realized I was quietly listening to them, they became defensive.
They need a serious wake up call from Bohemia, and if not them, then law enforcement, for levying false accusations. If they read this, PLEASE step the wrong way, but know that me saying "please" isn't going to make your case better any more than me saying "reported - expect the police."
Right or wrong, sometimes you simply won't "fit", for whatever reason.
Also, note one here can really say more as we really don't have all the details.
OP, may well be 110pc in the right, or they may have breached written or unwritten rules, knowingly or unknowingly.
especially if contact has been made and the result is negative then that's another indicator to move on.
some battles, just or unjust simply can't be won.
J'ai optimisé les paramètres en mettant pas mal d'option en low ou medium et malgré cela, le jeu est injouable a cause de nombreux lag... Grosse déception.
I have hosted servers for years (not any more though - too stressful), my particular beef is with none thematic trash talk on voice or chat. I would rather there be at least a base level of civility. This rule is always stated up front. Some people don't like that and they leave and go to a server that allows it or get banned. The point being, their server, their rules.
