Server Problem
Generally don't like making posts like this, and this is probably not the correct area to send this, but I don't know a better place to do this, other than the reddit for the ability to share the footage. This still probably violates their policies as well, so sorry for that.

I have a problem with a particular server, one which has multiple admins deciding to ban me and now a friend. On multiple occasions, I have gone into their discord, with full transparency (clips, explanations etc), and I have been unbanned twice. I have now received a third ban, for which I went to their server again to appeal, with clips and everything, to answer whatever questions they had, and their response was to IP ban me from their discord server, without listening. That's their right, sure, but there's a bigger problem here.

This issue originated with a friend and I playing on the server, and frankly just being better. I can't blame any players, especially those on console, because we are just very good. This isn't the only game we are great at either. We killed maybe 300 people in two days/8 hours of gameplay (probably a lot less, but based on how upset the enemy players were, you'd think we had thousands of kills). Many of our kills were spicy, some of which may or may not even appear on the reddit, for posterity. I can't blame those players for being confused or upset about those deaths, but when you watch through our perspectives, it is painfully obvious that it is legitimate play.

At one point on the second day, we were deep in enemy territory camping a big base, and I stole an enemy radio. I cycled through some of the channels, and by crazy chance caught a guy saying my friend and I's ingame handles. Obviously intrigued, I listened to these people talking about how the admins had "already seen their clips," but that he still didn't believe we were legitimate. I had some fun with these guys, and for the next few hours we ran wild on em. We even died several times, but we definitely killed them a lot. Once again, from our perspective you can see every methodical step that they get danced on.

Towards the end of our second day, I began mocking the enemy team in the global chat after one enemy (who I had heard was talking ♥♥♥♥ about us on their comms) killed me; I said they were "cheating," and followed it by "reported - expect the police." I have the entire conversation recorded as well, with me and my friend audibly laughing about the absurdity of it. Unfortunately, not everyone on this particular server is actually chill, despite their open drug use and claims of "being chill." One admin began asking who was cheating, what I was talking about etc, and both my friend and I responded "he's just talking ♥♥♥♥." That should be the end of it.

Moments before we got banned, we were advancing again through the forest toward the enemy point (by this point, a solid 6 people were regularly spawning to fight us), and I spotted a guy to my right completely silhouetted by a dirt road; in my footage, you clearly see his face shining at me. Looking at the footage myself, I'm just shocked I missed him for so long before I recognized he was just staring at me. I kill him, and go loot him. As I'm trying to loot, I hear a rustle of leaves, and start strafing to see whos pulling up. I don't find anyone, go back to looting, then a shot comes from the opposite direction, and I move to engage the enemy. I end up mag dumping, killing 3 guys who are practically ♥♥♥♥ to butt stacked, before I am killed by a fourth guy to my right. About 10 seconds later, my friend and I are banned.

That last firefight was pretty spicy, especially to people who aren't freaks of gaming, but it is still legit, even if it offends you that I'm beating you. I went to their server with my friend to again show all the footage in full, and a previously engaged admin started talking to us about what we had been typing in the chat a bit beforehand. He quizzed us about "reported - expect the police," and he even claimed that they "take it seriously because we have had someone swatted before."

I get trying to be on top of things, protect your community etc, but we even had an interaction with this same individual the previous day, where we were completely transparent, to the point that he didn't want to keep talking to us. This ban was not done out of nowhere, and certainly not because of their interpretation of a threat; it was done because many people on the server at this point believe we are cheating.

If these admins had simply said "hey man, you can show whatever you like, and I'm sure you have legitimate gameplay to show, but you are ruining the experience for people here, and we don't want that, go away," we would just laugh and leave. It isn't a big deal, really.

What is a big deal, and the reason for me even making this post, is the last thing the admin told us. He went on his spiel about a real swatting that allegedly happened (without any details), and we told him what we said in the game chat, that it is a joke, in fact a joke that is very old. If you've ever played Siege or CSGO, "reported - expect the police" is a classic gamer line, usually said ironically, because it is an extremely goofy thing to unironically say. The fact that we have to explain the joke to people probably says more about online communities in 2025 more than anything else. Very sad.

At this point, this is the third ban I have received, the previous two having been overturned after I went out of my way to appeal them. The first ban was unrelated, as an admin outright accused me of doing a duping glitch and banned me without warning. I originally joined there server to figure out why they banned me, and when they told me that, I sat there and showed in great detail exactly what happened, and had my ban lifted. That was my first ♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience here, but I was very patient, and some of them worked with me.
The second is obviously related to the third, but is more of the same. This time however, I can only assume they are actually accusing me of a real life crime, and that is not a joke.

We were in their Voicechat server to discuss this new ban, with livestreams, clips and everything, and a particular admin said he would speak to someone else for a bit. After a few minutes, we were both IP banned from the server. I went as far as to use a different discord account on a different IP to send another appeal to this server, in the hopes of trying to be transparent with these people, and make the situation right. I ran out of characters for my first part, and before I could finish a second message, I was again banned.

From my first encounter with the administration of this particular server, I have been seeing them lie about anyone and anything, and be willing to ban first and come up with a lie after the fact. In the past, I have been able to reason with some of the admins on the server (shoutout to them), but others apparently do not want to be reasonable. When the admin tried to say they had a member who had been swatted before, neither my friend nor I have any incentive to believe them at this point. My personal experience with them says that they just wanted to ban us because we were making the game unfun for some players, and they decided to twist our words into a threat. In order to make us feel like we had actually done something wrong, he came up with a story about being swatted. After everything I have experienced in this server relating the the admin behaviors, I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's a slim chance he can prove what he has to say. I can prove everything I have said, including literally, because I have 10 hours of footage playing on this server, up to and including being banned, and the process of being unbanned.

This wouldn't be a big deal if the last thing the admin said to us wasn't a lie about being swatted; immediately after that, we were both removed from their server with an IP ban, and even when I went out of my way to contact them and again appeal to their sensibilities, they didn't even wait for me to finish my ticket with them.

The only realistic thing I can think at this point is that this person is genuinely so unhinged with us dancing on console players in a video game that he is going to actually make a police report, for real. I wish I was joking, but even though I've given them the benefit of the doubt WAY more than I needed to, I have no benefit left to give them. They have lied repeatedly, and when we were completely transparent with them multiple times, they symbolically spat in our faces. I can only assume they have the worst intentions; the last thing I want is to deal with any sort of legal matters, but I nor my friend will be slandered by accusations of real life crimes, imagined or not. I am not going to allow some nerd on the internet to report us to any agency, for any reason, without being forced to prove his position. "Reported - expect the police" was a joke, but if these people step the wrong way, they will unfortunately learn that false accusations are crimes too. I hope for his sake, he is content to shut his mouth and stay far away forever, because we are the last people on earth you want to slander like this.

I apologize for putting this here, but I really do want to end whatever this bs is before it spirals out of control. Out of respect for certain admins that were not deranged, and because it is against the rules, I won't immediately post the name of this particular server; however, I would appreciate if a community manager of some sort reaches out to me, so I can show and tell them about the situation. I don't know where else to put this, but I would love to remove it if the situation is resolved.

I get it, I've received more than enough lies from these people, outside of the specific server I'm talking about. My main point is simply to defend myself and my friend, because these people are unhinged. The guy was pretty upset about this alleged swatting, and the only thing I can assume at this point is that he wants to escalate. I tried to reach out multiple times, but they don't want a private dialogue. Their mistake.
You not naming the server just lets the ♥♥♥♥ admins run amok. The game needs a server block function. Way too many people are admins that should not be.

crybaby console gamers to the left of me, tweaking admins to the right. and here I am stuck in the server browser with you. Yes, here I am banned for no fault of my own

it is a great server, apart from certain admins having way too much of an ego to have a conversation. I won't name the server until there is a proper response from some Bohemia Interactive representative who says it's okay, but I doubt they will want that to happen. Really, I just want them to be made aware of this server, and at least give them an ultimatum to do better, or lose their right to be in the community.

This game is genuinely one of the best games I have played in the last few years, so it is extremely fitting that some people with community power go out of their way to ruin the experience. I already record every second of gameplay, not because I want to upload clips, but simply because I've already played this game for a month, and had more problems with players and admins than in any other game I've played.

I'm not exactly an angel, and I've trolled in lots of games; I've had lots of accounts banned for various forms of "toxic behavior," but I've never seen a game where I have legitimately done so little, compared to the problems I've encountered. I don't feel the need to record any other game for anything other than enjoyment; this is very sad.

I've even played plenty of other milsims, all of which are not as good as this one. I hate that a game I've been addicted to in a way I haven't been in years is being ruined, not because I'm ruining the community, not because I'm "cheating" (read: not hitting bong rips every 5 seconds, having a reasonable reaction time/aim/common sense etc), but because some servers that run better than average employ nerds on a discord server who refuse to judge righteously.

My first experience with this server was an unknown admin completely making ♥♥♥♥ up about what I was doing; If I had not recorded the entire play session, I would still be banned from the first time. The fact that I, personally, got unbanned TWICE should at least make an admin take a closer look at what I have to share. They don't care, they will just make up a sob story about how they were swatted, and ban us. Lies on lies on lies.

After the second ban, the admin accused my friend of walling; he claimed my friend traced him through a wall, went outside and killed him. When we watched the recording from our perspectives, it was painfully clear no cheating was occuring; enemies had been firing out of the house for literally over an HOUR, and we went around there searching for their radio. Didn't find it, and I grabbed their vic and slammed it into the wall. I wanted to test the explosion mechanics against a player inside a building (my friend), and it just killed me in the driver seat. Meme, we laughed, whatever. Rewatching the clip, hearing us laughing and joking, methodically deconstructing what these bozos were trying to do (and failing), it was so obvious we were not cheating the admin had to run away.

These particular admins will start off really strong in their rhetoric, but it is just that - rhetoric. I had to cut the guy off multiple times to tell him "yeah, cool, you can watch my perspective right now, I'm streaming it to you." They are more concerned with telling you how much they "have" on you, and when you come to them with complete transparency they are at best mildly annoyed.

I agree, this is something that really shouldn't be allowed, as it makes the community way more toxic than it needs to be; people in general already have the tendency to be toxic in several different ways, the last thing this game needs is admins who will run to the police to file false accusations against players.

I don't know if they are actually going to, but for their sake I hope they don't turn it into a discovery session with lawyers.

At any rate, Bohemia should absolutely not allow admins who do this to continue, at least without a serious warning. I talk all sorts of ♥♥♥♥, but I have never gone out of my way to actually harm anyone or any entity (server, forum etc), no matter how much people have offended me. That being said, according to lots of people on the forums, we just had a massive DDoS attack a month ago; what happens when these bozos lie about the wrong people? I'm not the only person that has had problems with this server, and I've even had the misfortune to hear certain admins run their mouths about random players in their server. When they realized I was quietly listening to them, they became defensive.

They need a serious wake up call from Bohemia, and if not them, then law enforcement, for levying false accusations. If they read this, PLEASE step the wrong way, but know that me saying "please" isn't going to make your case better any more than me saying "reported - expect the police."

NAME. THE. SERVER. theres no rule here against it and as a fellow gamer who gets ♥♥♥♥ on by admins i wanna know what servers i should stay out of
This doesnt seem like a Bohemia thing. it seems like a private dispute.

That sucks you are going through this, there are tons of servers even modded ones I would just try another and don't look back.
bohemia wont do anything these are privately hosted servers. Now which one was it?
Unfortunately, it's probably best to find another server.

Right or wrong, sometimes you simply won't "fit", for whatever reason.

Also, note one here can really say more as we really don't have all the details.

OP, may well be 110pc in the right, or they may have breached written or unwritten rules, knowingly or unknowingly.

especially if contact has been made and the result is negative then that's another indicator to move on.

some battles, just or unjust simply can't be won.

Just play on a different server if you can't resolve the dispute in their Discord. Whoever is hosting gets the privilege of setting the ground rules and then supply and demand of server population will dictate if they are working or not.

I have hosted servers for years (not any more though - too stressful), my particular beef is with none thematic trash talk on voice or chat. I would rather there be at least a base level of civility. This rule is always stated up front. Some people don't like that and they leave and go to a server that allows it or get banned. The point being, their server, their rules.
