Hey! Thanks for the reply.
What about something "dynamic" like a dynamic warfare, attack, capture points, maybe get counter attacked? Is there something like that too or just predefined not very dynamic scenarios?
Let me know how that goes!
I can only recommend using a dedicated server for your personal games. You'll waste an hour setting it up, but you'll have access to your saves.
Sounds good... Any tips when it comes down to setting a dedicated (personal) server? Never did that before. Anything you can share is appreciated.
You and your team spawn with basic weapons and a list of randomly generated missions to complete. It's great fun and I play with a few friends. The game, however, is balanced for around 6 players and therefore quite difficult to finish with a few guys. You might have to play the game over a whole evening, or over two evenings.
We set up a cheap dedicated server for £8.00 here in the UK. We just leave it running over a few days until we finish the mission and exfil.
The process is often the same for Steam games:
Install SteamCMD, then use it to install the Arma Reforger dedicated server.
Once that's done, you need to create two files:
one is used to start the server and tell it to "read this configuration file."
The second file is the configuration file, which contains the server settings: number of players, IP address, scenario, mod, etc.
Don't limit yourself to one site; keep trying if you get stuck on something. If you search carefully, you'll even find software to help you create configuration files. :)
I'm playing https://reforger.armaplatform.com/workshop/617B2ED33DE29156/scenarios
It works well even in single player with AI mates you can command. Bummer is that you can't save your progress (or i have not found out how). Make sure you take a radio backpack so you can respawn on your body.
Also there are only 2 maps with the official version of Reforger, but there are already middle eastern maps and a imported chernarus map.
Don't bring up another game when the OP is asking for advice on this game. Aside from the fact it obviously doesn't answer the question asked, the fact of the matter is that Reforger is a test bed to open the franchise up to a wider audience on console, and having played Arma 2 + Arrowhead extensively for 3 years in a milsim clan and Arma 3 for 100's of hours as a military sandbox, I can honestly say that the smaller size maps are not an issue, 30x30km2 is more than enough and I have never found myself thinking, in my current near 100 hours play time, that the maps are ''too small'' or that they ''should be bigger''.
This is the REFORGER FORUM, wrote that in caps for you, just in case you have trouble reading old man.
