New Rank system
I know, i know. The ranks are easy to achieve. That's fine, but i think ranks should follow you across all servers and be harder to achieve.

How id like to see the ranks, a mix of all branches -

1. Private - Light utility vehicle + Supply truck
2. Private First Class - All utility trucks unlocked
3. Lance Corporal - Armed M151A2 unlocked
4. Corporal - BRDM-2 unlocked
5. Airman - Supply helicopters
6. Sergeant - Armed M1025 unlocked
7. Staff Sergeant - LAV-25 unlocked
8. Master Sergeant - Ability to move already built structures with a cool down.
9. Senior Airman - Armed choppers unlocked
10 . Sergeant Major - BTR-70 unlocked
11. General - Unlocks the ability to repair vehicles and helicopters at a slow speed without repair truck.

I think the amount of xp to earn each rank should take 20-50 times the amount it takes right now. But have your rank follow you across servers. You can also still de-rank, so you have to really work to earn your rank by playing well.

I think they should also add a serious xp penalty for killing a chopper full of people when you crash. This in return will encourage only the best to pilot choppers in fear of losing rank.

Make ranks actually mean something, make them an actual achievement. Right now, i can hop in a server and get major in less than an hour its that easy and quick. almost making the ranks meaning less. Then the server crashes and i have to do it all over again, no saved progress. To me, that is getting old real quick.

Just a thought!

Good thought but persistent ranks alone could not work since it would equate the people who play some but try with the people who just have a lot of free time but dont do much good so there's that too...
The entire rank restriction system is dumb outside PvE especially when you join a team of all privates meanwhile enemy team are all LTs cramming armor, choppers and mortars down your throat. Same thing all games that are like this should have is a tutorial section with a pass/fail in order to get your badge to use it in game, eg you can't pass flying tutorial than you cant spawn and fly helis, but this then has the same issue as rank restrictions because a full team of noobs won't have their badges and will be at more of a disadvantage than they already are at (I get asymmetrical warfare/realism but at the same thing just rolling over the enemy team isn't as fun as a close game is, ideally the server would team balance based on rank/skill/role in order to keep as much realism as possible but this doesn't happen). This is why preset kits for roles and a limit to the amount of roles per squad is the better way of doing it, you're a sniper than you can only see the "sniper" stuff in the armoury as an example. You were able to do that in 3 btw.

Persistent rank is just not feasible, in practice it equates to having no rank system at all. The system is supposed to incentivize direct actions by players which directly affect the round they're curently playing, especially in regards to support work. The fact that you ran a bunch of supplies for five hours in a game three months ago doesn't help your team today at all, so there's no reward for it today.

YOU SHOULD GET SOME THING TO SHOW YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS/SKILL LEVEL.

I absolutely despise the rank system. No thanks, I am only interested in removal.

You do, in the game you're currently in, which is the only accomplishments that matter to the game you're currently in. Nobody gives a crap about you. You're a cog in a machine. There's no war heroes here. You are not the main character and neither is anybody else. The thing that shows for your skill level is how valuable you end up being on the battlefield, and that's it. Because that's literally the only thing about you that matters to anyone else in this game at any point in time.
