tutorial radio question

In the tutorial when you get the radio and it tells you to turn it on and adjust to 60MHz, what do i do after that? got the raido, got it on and adjusted to 60MHz, now what? do i run around until i get a signal? sorry for dumb question new to arma

Okay so for me, I press Esc and restart. It put me back to where I found the truck and equipped the radio. Then follow the tutorial from there.

There was no radio in my inventory to drop. Had to save and exit to continue. But now I have no gun.

The radio I was referring to you have to get from the back of a truck. Its not in your inventory until you find the truck. But the issue you’re having sounds like a different glitch or bug.

No long range radio in inventory to drop and reequip, and pressing caps does nothing. Tried restarting. Not working.

Oh yeah, I did that. I thought hey I'll just continue learning while playing online. But radio communication didn't work there either. I can spam caps lock to lock it but not press it to "push and talk". That didn't seem to advance the tutorial either

I got to the back of the truck twice now ...there are 3 icons ..two walkies and square to choose signal for. I assume it is the Square icon for backpack radio. I set them all to 60mhz but that's where it ends. They really should spend time to patch this bug or most peoples tutorial ends here! I saved and return to menu then clicked on tutorial again hoping to continue next step in radio lesson but it sent me back to the obstacle course! I guess I could have just pressed Restart to go back a bit but thought THAT would send to the beginning. Now I will try again with tip to drop and re-equip as a fix. Lot of time.

You have to set the box shaped backpack radio to 60 then press tab to bring up inventory select radio and drop it to vicinity then put it back. Then it works. The guy made a youtube video of the older tutorial showing how he was trying to get it to work over and over then did the drop and pickup and a voice came through. Poor "developering" to let this annoying bug stand for so long!!! Ignored.

The radio just doesn't seem to work, no matter how often I drop it and pick it up again But I hear my own voice (recorded from my microphone) in my headset.
(switching channels also does not work, but manually adjusting the frequency to 60 MHz via LCTRL+Mousewheel). So the tutorial does not advance.
