fix the game

holy crap this game is physically unplayable, and before you ask "pc specs???????" i've had the game run like, 3 times before (never in multiplayer because multiplayer seems to always be down) and whenever i play sandbox it instantly crashes despite it running 5 minutes ago

Game is broken on so many levels and unplayable online, i do not recommend it to anyone at this point, but i never experienced crashes on startup, or have seen people complain about it much. Seems like your PC is the problem here.

it runs fine as i just said, however 5 times out of 10 it crashes on startup, then crashes later (despite no strain on my computer at all) about 30 mins to an hour of ingame time spent putting npcs in the game and shooting them

anyway since you really want my pc specs even though its very clearly the game

My PC specs are pretty good and I run most else, including previous Arma games, on a buttery 60 FPS. This game is for some reason an exception, and I get crashes and terrible lag spikes out of nowhere, no combat is even happening, it's just a fully random thing that is happening to me, so you aren't alone. Hopefully they one day optimize this mess, just a little bit, because I do really enjoy the game, but I shouldn't be having such extreme lag and I think many shouldn't be either. But from what the community has said when I talk about this, they aren't hopeful for change or betterment, which is a bummer.

my pc isnt bad? it runs the game at 60 fps, same with almost every modern game, stop defending arma reforger when people with extremely modern setups are experiencing the same exact issue as me

i had 1660 super 6gb a month ago, no way it could run 60fps in this game on 1080p, stop trolling. Your PC is slow for this game.

i'm not trolling, plus i'm not using a 6 gb ram, im using 16 gig, this runs at 30-60 fps on semi low but still good looking graphics, you are the troll here

I only play in Game Master with me solo vs a lot of AI.

The game runs good for me in single player. I don't play online anymore in the arma series, I remember playing arma 2 / 3 and there was always some script hacker spawning in stuff or ruining the server. I know it has gotten better since, but I just play Solo on this game lol.

The game isn't the worst or best optimized, its kind of in the middle. It just uses CPU power as well.

I just have a 5800x3d, 6900xt overclocked to a stock 6950xt, 32gb ram, nvme.
On the High Preset without touching anything or lowering I can get 90 FPS Average 1440P Native. No Upscale and Screen resolution is 100%. It goes from 85-110fps depending on what is going on.

I mean that's not bad if you compare it to some other newer games. Its about the same as arena breakout infinite and their engines look pretty similar even though that is a extraction shooter.

They lack in updating upscale support. They should have already added FSR3 and DLSS3 and maybe Xess to help the lower tier systems, I do agree they could do better in that resort.

i said i had it work a few times, its the game, i've ran games that are way more detailed than this game

typical bohemia community defending the game that has servers that do not function on over half of the playerbase

i dont think its the game. i have experience only 2 crashes in my 70 or 80 so hours, and all of them were on community modded servers. Reforger official servers are more robust and reliable than previous arma games; it may be something other than the game causing you to crash.

i'm not crashing anymore, however its the servers for where i am, i physically cannot play multiplayer due to the servers straight up not connecting

and this isnt the same on ANY other game, even ones by bohemia like dayz

people are stupid for literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on OPs specs ... for real I saw a video with this game paired with 4060/1080p and the results were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... the game is badly optimized from what I read/heard/saw ... I own a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 1060 and planning to upgrade to 4060, I will able to enjoy all my games that I am playing including Arma 3 but for what I have seen, Reforger needs work on the optimization part, not all of us can afford video cards for example like 4080, grow up.
