Fix vote kick abuse

Just spent 3 hours in a server with my buddy just to have a group of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ join us and kick us to make room for their friends. What's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point of playing if this ♥♥♥♥ can happen and cause us to waste all that time?

simply don't play, sorry to sound like a douche bag but bohemia has historically terrible moderation (hence why they need vote kicks so people do their job for them) if you really want to play, just play in a well known community server where people will moderate the game correctly

also yet another thing, bohemia never listens to their community so just don't bother trying

Have you tried the process of reporting described in the PINNED post? If they give a means of reporting and people opt to rant rather than report, then I would expect nothing will come of it.

reporting wouldn't really work, at most the person who did it would get a 2 week ban, then after the ban they would simply just do it again, or another person would, OP just wants to get bohemia to put in some restrictions or a warning to not kick for zero reason

Excuses in place of action, especially when an action is available to you, is a poor path to take. Why would a warning to not do something they already know is wrong, make any difference? A person getting banned for any amount of time is a better deterrent than any warning. Either use the tools given to you, or like you said, don't play.

There's this wonderful concept involving more voices getting more attention. I know that might be hard to grasp.

Also over 20 hours now and they're still in the game, so yes that might be considered unacceptable in terms of response time to a simple report.

the fact that this is apparently what the game is like is terrible, i'm now glad that i can't play multiplayer due to the servers being absolute garbage

The vote kick thing has been complained about since Reforger came out. Considering the amount of faith you have in the report system, I am shocked they haven't fixed it.

It boils down to making the choice of gaming with random players on public servers or not.

There are a lot of expectations when it comes to the developer implementing measures to get rid of undesirable players, in an atmosphere that is inherently undesirable, in a title that is a game in the loosest sense of the word. Do like we did and make your own private server.

There is a player reporting system in the Experimental version that might provide a solution, but I suspect it will not be up to everyone's standards of what is expected from a $29.99 game. Expectations like having someone monitoring emails 24/7 and addressing complaints instantly...

Interesting that you're bringing up some sort of expectations that absolutely no one in this thread has mentioned. The point is fixing vote kick abuse which apparently involves fixing the report system which in itself in an interesting pair given if you're vote kicked you can't exactly us an in-game report system to report the abuse.

Also it's been two days including a weekday and I just saw that same group in another server. It might seem foreign to someone so hellbent on throating these devs, but two days is plenty of time to at least respond to a report. It's unlikely the devs handle support for things like reports in-house anyway.

My comment is filled with disappointment over poorly implemented in-game administration and an even more poorly implemented report system. You seem to be conjuring these expectations from your own issues seeing as I only commented on how unsatisfactory the current system works. Or rather doesn't work.

If it doesn't affect you then why are you here? Just to keep stroking the egos of the devs of a game that you don't seem to think of as a game even though you're choosing to spend more money on it for a server?

Also keep avoiding the point. It's hilarious how much you seem to care about the devs of this game that apparently isn't a game.
