What is the best weapon for Soviets in Arma Reforger? (Vanilla)

Everyone says its either the grenade launcher or PKM. What do you think?

I see the RPK as a better AK-74, less recoil more accurate and 45 bullets each mag.

The SVD with no scope has gotten me 8 kills against NATO forces back to back wearing body armor in the Modern era servers, that thing slaps at long and close range also you can put the scope back on for long range targets pretty frickin sweet

The best Soviet weapon is the one command requests you use that would best suit the mission at hand.

The RPK with the scout optic is the best weapon for Soviets hands down for anything that isnt heavy fire support from PKM. It fulfils the same purpose as both the AK74 AND the SVD with the added benefit of bipod stability.

All that will change once the stamina update kicks in, since you have to account for the whole picture to said that.

If you are speaking objectively about it, like a firing range comparision, whatever.

RPK-74N. You get a scope with the same 4x zoom as the SVD but able to be switched to automatic, 45 round mags, and a bipod. You can lay down some serious fire at range since the bipod almost completely negates weapon sway and recoil. Only downside is it can take 2-3 hits to kill someone whereas the SVD only takes 1-2, but having a bipod WITH a scope makes it worth it.
