no way to recruit ai in combat ops?

really? been waiting for commanding for a couple years now so i could play combat ops solo with a ai team and you didn't even add a way to recruit them in those modes at the base? i can't even get around it in single player with zeus because im not allowed to even use zeus there

assuming so, honestly it's really stupid because i really wanna play this game and BI won't let me. the modes that could really use this feature don't have it and honestly im about to completely drop this game because of this

Recruiting AI in Combat Ops and Conflict would make single player available. The other big problem would be AI Command which I can't believe how broken it is right now. I never thought it would be so hard to make. AI do as command in Gamemaster why can't they reliably follow you with commands? Also, it's quite lackluster not being able to make subgroups to supress and flank like in all other ARMAs. Not even make them wait for your shot.

So let me get this straight - They added AI Commanding, but that isnt even a feature in the SINGLE PLAYER modes?

And the only way to command AI is to run Game Master and create your own missions first?

You guys aren't reading then. You have to be the Squad Leader to command AI. This works in GameMaster and Public Lobbies too. In-game, press P. Pick a new Squad. Congrats, you can control AI now. If you're in GameMaster, Press "Spacebar" to create a Player Character. It automatically makes you a Squad Leader.

I absolutely can't understand the decision to not give us GM in a singleplayer mission 😕. I even went the effort of using arma tools to try and force the game master modules into a conflict mission and the log kept throwing errors saying they weren't compatible in same mission lol it looks like the game is going out of its way to make SP mode less playable its bizarre but after all it is BI.

You can at friendly bases, they walk around there, open the tilde key infront of ai and the firs option on the top should be "recruit", if it doesnt appear then move around them looking at them and try again. They join your squad and you can command them but the follow me order is utterly broken.

You have to be GM to spawn a squad or have a GM assign you a squad there is not random teams you can just command usually

Yes, press escape, go into game master, spawn AI then go back to the player and recruit them.

Then have them ignore 90 percent of your orders :)
