Also, don't forget that Reforger by its very nature might not fully support the expected suite of peripherals, although that's, imho, unlikely but worth keeping in mind.
Fwiw I've been messing with steam settings to get my hotas working... There is a major flaw in how the helis hand collective control though... It's binary... Cant seem to bind an axis to it
This game rocks, I've uninstalled battlefield, cod, squad and HLL ... Flying a Huey, even on keyboard is fun and rewarding gameplay ... But it'd be truly incredible to have proper hotas support.
Bohemia can do it I'm sure... I just hope it doesn't take 5 years 😂
Never tried anything else
That said, I have no intention of flying with a keyboard or mouse or gamepad. I've been reinforcing that muscle memory since the days of F-19 Stealth Fighter and X-Wing and I ain't changin. Hopefully they add stick support soon.
Even if you played on an Xbox controller, it'd make sense to use the analog Triggers for collective to have better control over it... It's weird. How Is this not supported at all?
Trackir does work you need to lower the sensitivity down near to zero and it works quite well.
Agreed compatibility should, or hopefully will get implemented, but there are ways to get it stable enough to play now.
It's a bit sad that the controller support is taking over the usual pc or flight sim setup and messing things up
It is not a flight simulator by any means so it would not utilize hardly any of the controls I have available. If they do add it, I will definitely give it a shot to see if its worth the hassle.
