That would depend on your hardware. Unless you have a very dated PC, upgrading isn't going to get you much more fps.

CPU often requires a lot more hardware update - might as well get a new PC.

RAM is often overlooked. I get good FPS on games where other people complain about loss of FPS with new GPU... I have 128GB of RAM and often outperform others with an older 1080 card. Would depend on your MB allowing larger RAM.

That said, the GPU should not be overlooked. BUT... once you install a new faster GPU you might just consider a whole new PC since other components will need to be updated and align with new GPU specs and requirements including a bigger power supply.

Well.. In reforger its a hit/miss scenario.

Ryzen 7900x
3090 FTW3 Ultra
32gb 5200

And the game is on an SN 770 Black and running 3440x1440

I'm pulling an average of 60-80fps maxed out.

This game is heavy on the whole system honestly. Untelling what you'd need to upgrade.

basically same but a 3070ti and 11th gen i7. 32 gb ram usually get 70fps

not dated, just was wondering if there was something to make it a more stable like 80-90 fps.

What I said is about what you're gonna get. It's ARMA.

Their engine has never been good, all revisions of it old and new.

Be glad its not a lag fest like Arma 2 used to be.

60-90+ is fine.

Putting Arma 3 on a SSD make a little amelioration for the fps ... .

Being short, away from the game and have returned to it recently. Meanwhile, I have added a SSD to my PC and have played a beloved CTI scenario and have gained 2 or 3 fps (like from 21 to 24 and up, sometimes and stable), overall. Nearly no lags, no spawned vehis in town, moded and still have to test the A.I. response, so ... .

High-end medium PC gears, 4 or 5 years old ... .

lol ... , I was thinking that I was in the ARMA 3's forum, sorry ... ! Anyway, having games on a SSD seem to be the way it goes with newer games ... .
