How can hit reg and latency be this bad ?
Game is unplayable, never seen a game so bad for hit reg, when is this doing to be fixed having to shoot people 5 times to get kill and having 6 second delays on kill popping up. Seen PS1 games with better machanics than this ♥♥♥♥

The kills are not shown instantly in the feed to be more immersive. You're either complaining about something that works as intended or you're complaining about playing on a bad server/connection.

Yeah since the last update all servers I have tried are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laggy and buggy. Watch, the next update will make it even worse. Im wondering why if when you have something that works ok you would then make a worse version over and over again till you figure it out. I would rather they leave us the first alpha till they made actual improvements then release and update. But it aint my world.

I've been trying it after a while and despite the downgrade (e.g. now the vehicles float rather than drive) the feel of the game is still the same. It's in a state that even indie developers would be ashamed of.

Again, it's not really a game. Look at GZW. You say indie devs would be ashamed of pushing ♥♥♥♥ out that barely runs on even 4060s and r7 7800Xs. They aren't.

Gray zone runs bad like every other UE5 game including Fortnite. On the other hand, from what I saw it looked much more functional than the Reforger where, apart also from unfixable engine bugs, you still get a grenade stuck in your hand after two years.

"Again, it's not really a game" - Again, Reforger = Arma 4. They don't really do some completely different game.

That's the really concerning part, I don't care about reforger, I've long since given up on it. Arma 4 has been in development for years now, so it's going to have all the same problems that reforger does.

It's hard to see how we can go from where reforger is now, to a full feature, full content Arma 4. A4 is either still 4-6 years away, or A4 is 1-2 years away, and will not be a full feature, full content Arma game, and will have all the same problems that reforger has now.

It is rather clear from the circumstances that A4 uses exactly the same version of the engine and also all stuff like movement, interaction.. basically everything, The content is way smaller problem than the broken engine.

The only way to play Reforger is to ignore all the horrors, but you can't really do that because it negatively affects gameplay. Apparently there are "enough" people who don't mind and play the game. Which has eased the pressure that it should be done properly.

I don't understand how that lag and hitreg stuff is not an absolute top priority. Refunded after 3hrs.

The only way to play reforger is not have a potato pc and have your own host/ds and limit the amount of players and in-game events. Yeah, the "game" is bare, and as they said- it's not a game, they won't continue supporting it once they achieved what they wanted with it. Which again, is for modders to prepare their mods for A4 and for the devs to build around what the community wants. The game is pristine, the only issues with it right now are maybe optimization and definitely the servers. The hitreg you're talking about is just you not getting the kill showed on the killfeed because that's exactly the system they implemented. Otherwise, unless you're playing on 200ms or a server that's coughing lung cancer dust and about to die, you'll be fine. I can recommend u go back to A3 in the meanwhile, way more optimization.

@HubbaGubba You forgot to add to have the game installed on SSD :)

Too bad, your hopium/copium story doesn't fix poorly made engine with pristine forever bugs.

It can be easy to misinterpret your bullets hitting body armor as them just not hitting.

Well, huge problem is not hit reg as much, but body armor system. It calculates angles very weirdly. Sometimes I have to shoot Russkies 3 times with M21 rifle for them to drop, because 6b2 armor somehow magically eats up .308 Winchester rounds like It's cornflakes. Same goes when you shoot Americans with AK-74, PASGT vest somehow eats up sometimes 4 bullets...even though PASGT is only able to withstand pistol caliber bullets and shrapnel. I dunno why Bohemia did this, the ballistic values of bullets hitting armor and stupid sheet metal helmets needs to be reworked. It's unbearable at times

hitreg seems more crisp to me in the experimental version idk if it is because of this change in the update "Changed: Reworked entire character damage implementation to use the new damageEffects system"
