why "unfortunately"? We PC players are the ones with mouse and keyboard supremacy.

PC needs the extra player numbers anyway

90% of the people who destroy the game like constant team killing are from the xbox community as they can change accounts fast without any penalty.

And generally killing xbox players will tire you out quickly considering they are no challenge.

there was (still is) an issue with xbox players not getting banned from games, so they can just constantly rejoin and teamkill without consequences.
when you play and an xbox player joins on you, there's a big chance that they will teamkill you.
alternatively they will not understand what arma is because they got it through a game pass or something and end up doing very stupid things or get bored and, again, start teamkilling.

there's also the issue of controls being limited and adapted that are compatible with console input even though there's better ways for keyboards, like a radial menu where there really isn't a need for one, which is the radio menu and map marker placement.
i want to stress that a radial menu is an impressively ugly UI element that ruins immersion a big deal for me. it's an absolute eye sore and i wish it could be done away with. makes me feel like i'm playing GTA Online, which in turn makes me want to close the game and do something else. which is nice, i get more chores done and i started learning a new language and getting back into another one i already learned before instead. thanks BI.

from what i read it can also cause connection issues for everyone on the server to have crossplay, but i didn't look into that, so that's just hearsay unless you know better or find more info on that.

Teamkilling is a problem in Arma 3 on PC too.
Players get confused by who's an enemy and who's friendly.
If you play as CSAT, on the map your teammates are marked in red. But in-game, their username shows up as green.

And nothing is done to auto-kick teamkillers. No penalties

BI should just implement reverse friendly fire, so the attacker dies when he shoots a friendly.

Yea it might upset the milsim spergs but the frustration of getting teamkilled by idiot teammates isn't worth "muh realism"

Keep the normal friendly fire on Hardcore servers.

i somewhat agree, but the situation is still different with xbox players.
i have near 6k hours on arma 3 and 800hours almost on reforger and it's a very different experience.
it's not the problem of not being able to tell enemies, it's that they spawn right next to you, take aim slowly and start shooting you in the back if you turn it to them. they throw granades on spawn by the weapon and ammo supply and avoid auto kicking.
i made a playlist and it's just a few instances that i bothered recording and uploading.
in arma 3 i had the option to vote_admin myself so i could at least play escape missions and other available ones on official servers, and if a teamkiller joined i removed them easily.
votekicking on arma reforger does not work. i don't even know if there's ever enough votes but if not then it's because xbox players don't know how to even vote.

there is a lot to the problems with teamkillers, including the done damage not being registered by who's dealing it for example, so any automation of dealing with this is going to have issues anyways.
but i think i went off topic enough with this by now, so i'll leave it at that. just trying to explain why there's a disliking for console players.
obviously it's not all of them abusing the lack of safety systems against teamkilling, but being on xbox enables those who do want to abuse it.

am i able to voteadmin myself in arma 3 when i'm the only person in server and then i'll keep admin status when new players join?

most players are xbox in official servers. if crossplay is disabled the vanilla servers would be a ghost town for PC. hopefully official servers get some more work on team kill detection and stopping antenna and supply depot deleting. the griefers use grenades for team killing and the game doesn't even detect there was a teamkill when the griefer immediately suicides after throwing the grenade (what about suicide starts a countdown that is longer than the grenade fuse and isn't immediate? idk). vote kick has problems, the griefer can just rejoin and the vote kick stops, and the minimum yes votes needed is 33% of the number of players in game and if the teams are lopsided you are screwed because only your team can vote. actually i don't even know what the minimum yes votes are because the game doesn't display the results of the vote (how many votes yes aand no and how many was needed), and when the vote fails on some crazy person, it leaves the normal players bewildered.
