I know what tweet your are referring to, people have misinterpreted it, nowhere in the tweet does it say there will be a mission editor for reforger. The official roadmap for reforger does not say there will be a mission editor, so people should not expect one. In fact, I have my doubts that there will be a proper mission editor for arma 4 at release, and that it will take years post release to see a proper eden like mission editor.

Yes, that is the tweet I was talking about, nowhere in the tweet does it say there will be a mission editor in reforger. I would suggest people go by what is in the official roadmap, that is the only content/features that BI has committed to delivering.
I'm confused by this conversation.
There is no mission editor, but you can make missions in the world editor with the enfusion workbench. However, there are no mission making tools, just some prefabs, making missions is convoluted, and it's pretty limited in what you can do.
I'm waiting on them to get it up to standard from almost ten years ago. Zeus is far superior to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ GaMe MaStEr we've got now. Zeus was intuitive, the UI was slick, it just worked.
The UI is a disaster to accommodate console players that use controllers. Now just imagine the utter disaster the UI would be for a mission editor. As long as arma is made for consoles, there can never be a proper in-game mission editor with functional UI.
Idk why they'd do that. I play Arma 3 pretty good with a controller. Maybe they should've reached out to Ge Force Now to see how they ported the controller settings.
Exactly. It's cool that console guys get a taste of Arma, but there seriously should've been, at least, two different UIs for the console and PC edition. Like, if you plug in a controller, boom, it switches to the current consoleized UI.
Well, you play games with controllers, and use software tools with a mouse, and keyboard. Zeus, and the Eden mission editor are really software tools, so they require a UI designed for M&K to function efficiently. Now that the arma series is designed for consoles, there is no way to have proper UI for Zeus/GM, or an in-game mission editor, because the UI is designed for controllers.
All you have to do is hold the "back' button on the controller, and you get the mouse function. And if if you have to type something, you click and the steam keyboard comes up. That's Arma 3 though. Haven't bought this game yet. I use the Eden Editor and all on that..
