This is promising if Enfusion Engine is compatible with other third-party "tools" other than those created by Bohèmia Interactive
Which was not supposed to be the case with their old graphics engine I guess
It's a good development on the part of Bohèmia, would it be that the Chinese group Tencent has invested in the studio and that this "forces" Bohèmia to have more "openness"
Arma 4 should be visually more beautiful as well as all the "objects" that will make up the game
I see "F**k Epic Games" groups on STEAM, I find that Epic Games is still generous to leave its graphics engine free under certain conditions as well as some of these "libraries"
Thank you friend for the links, now I understand why this line of text written at the bottom in the start screen of the game
I hope Bohèmia will release a retina-ripping Arma 4
My only fear is that the Arma license will become "Casual"
This was offered by Quixel in the past, but they were bought by Epic Games and it's offered free of charge for any Unreal Engine developer.
Them using megascans has nothing whatsoever to do with Unreal Engine.
Source: I use Unreal Engine on a daily basis.
I understand that Megascans has nothing to do with Unreal Engine
But that it is a library of third-party models from an indie studio at first then bought by Epic Games
Megascans can be used with other graphics engines and only with Unreal Engine as far as I understand
Only free for Unreal Engine users, I understood that no, it could be used for free by other studios with their own graphics engine ?
This means that Bohèmia pays to use this template library, am I wrong or not?
I don't understand that's why Bohèmia uses this library
They have however always been independent in the shaping of their graphic tools
The other question I have, if Arma Reforger is a prerequisite before Arma 4 for modders to experience Enfusion Engine
Bohèmia will therefore partially use the Megascans through the modders who already use the unreal Engine and who will therefore do part of their "work" in short
Bohèmia pays a minimum license fee from a library and gets the maximum through the work of modders
I'm probably saying a big mistake but that's the impression it gives me
it doesn't mean they're inherently part of a specific ecosystem.
BI may well "lease" or "buy" external assets from various sources but againvthat doesn't mean they are "linked" with company A or B.
Bohemia doing this isn't surprising.
Because it's a relatively new thing and they catch up with the technology available, that's why.
ok, so that bodes well for Arma 4 regarding the graphical environment
You must be thinking that I ask stupid questions but I don't know anything about this area. I like to play Arma 2/3 and it's true that a more advanced visual rendering would be pleasant
Especially since the new generations of graphics cards and screens allow higher resolutions
Also, remember we answering may not be 100pc correct either!
