Yup, slight amendment to my statement though. I have about 1500hrs in Arma 3, and 95% of that has been Zeusing by myself. I'm not even joking. The Zeus UI as is just feels bleh, man. It should be just as good as Arma 3's.
However, we all need to keep in mind that Reforger is literally Day Zero release right now. Remember Arma 3's alpha? I do. And look how much better that game got in a year, then two, then five, then 8. That was with an old as ♥♥♥♥ engine which was a real ♥♥♥♥♥ to code for. This one? They've deliberately made it easier for people to mess with AND have given modders basically the same tools BI uses for developing the game.
Which makes me wonder... Who will release a T-72 first? BI or modders?
lol, go check the Arma discord. Modders are already diving into this thing.
From the way it sounds, everything is easier and quicker thanks to the scripting language changes and the benefits of a modern engine. Don't forget some modders had early access to Arma 3. I think CUP guys and ALiVE did. So...
The future is exciting. Reforger is going to be 100% community driven, I think.
Scroll wheel menu was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke and im so glad its gone. It was not immersive at all and felt like ♥♥♥♥ to use.
You have more control over your character in this than in Arma 3
Crtl + Q or E will give you fine control over your lean.
Crtl + Scrolling will give you fine control over your height.
Your stance will also not be reset while moving, you will stay at that height and that lean as you walk.
Shhhh.. That doesn't fit the narrative of "streamlined for consoles!!"
Honestly, there are valid arguments against Reforger! but people seem to wanna stick to imagined ♥♥♥♥ or stuff they assume is wrong without ever testing it.
