However, I hope that we can still keep the realist nav as my group prefers this.
If you near valuable Location it text you at bottom-right angle on the map
navigating is part of the fun =)
i wish they include a star navigation tutorial too.
next, no more 3rd person view, other than for COOP and SP.

Wasn't star navigation once a thing in Flashpoint?
I believe it was.
Transfer the angel from the compass to the map aligned to the orientation-point on the map.
Then do the same with a second point.
Where the lines cross, is your position.
Try to orient on streets and their angle or other prominent landscape characteristics.
Crossings, rivers, hills, exposed buildings... all these thing will help you.
For germans I can recomend the "Reibert" and for the englisch speakers SAS Survival Handbook The Ultimate Guide to Surviving Anywhere John 'Lofty' Wiseman
there was a mission where you had to make use of the northstar to navigate.
and how to find the northstar was described in the mission briefing.
throughout the whole OFP/ARMA series that was possible.
i think its the same in Reforger too.
I got google and location
it is hard
memorize it.
drive around, take a stroll, hike the mountains. youll never need a map or compass ever again ;)
