Need help with understanding Advanced Potion crafting.
Currently I craft a "greater sight enhancer" for the 2 challange.

And i dont get why adding a little "cubic ooze" boost my Potion that much
This is my "setup" with out ooze:

Once i add it it bumps it up soooo insanely much:

It basicly goes from bearly greater to guaranted grand. what?
Can someone maybe explain this to me

From what I understood the quality is based on magimin numbers, so that is indeed weird. I haven't acquired that ingredient myself, so sadly I cannot test it. My guess is a potential bug or unintentional interaction.

I'm equally lost since there seems to be either hidden combinations or "magimin tresholds" where your potions just skyrocket in value in random spots. So its either hidden values or developer bugs.

I tested it with other Ingriediens, wich added more Magimin , but nothing came nearby in quality boost like that.

Idk maybe there is some other random thing like "Secret ingriedens"?
Because it was a "gold slime" maybe idk

There are hidden recipes, it seems. That's not the only one either, I've experienced at least 3. Getting these things in JUST the right amounts adds 4-5 stars (not even talking magimins). Adding anything else to these perfect secret mixes, even if it would make perfect magimin ratios, kills the quality.

By using the glass caldron that allows for 7 ingredients I added 3 of the very first A ingredient and 3 of the first B ingredient, the berry and the root respectively, then added that green gem the adventurer can get on the very first area which adds 4 A and 4 B, and that also skyrocketed the recipe by 4 stages, I made tier 3 health potions on day 4 with this.

for now i assume its some sort of bug

It usually seems to happen when I am trying to balance the types, and my addition puts one magmin category closer to "perfect" than the other one was.

I got the opposite problem where adding a mushroom as the 7th ingredient *decreased* both the quality and I think even the overall magimin count. If there really are secret recipes then I suppose that ruins the taste

it's a bug, I have that slime too and it doesn't do that for me.

It's because you're pushing your cauldron from making 3 potions to 4 potions. Your magimins are partly divided between how many potions will be in the result. 160 magimins split between 3 potions results in 3 higher quality potions than splitting 169 between 4 potions.

Bro, thats what i dont get, that would make sense, but if you look at the Pictures provided.
It goes from 3 Potions low quality -> 4 potions high quality.

Yeah, I've definitely seen this. At first I thought there was some hidden ingredients synergy (IE if you use 3 fruit, 3 plants, and a slime, the potion will be better) and the game would eventually explain it, but they never did.

At this point I'm not sure if there's some secret bonus you can get with the right ingredients or it's just a bug.

Might have to do with the fact that the slime cube is a gold level ingredient.

From my simple testing, it has nothing to do with types of ingredients nor with level of ingredients. Instead, it's about hitting a specific amount of magicules. 169, 314, and probably many more numbers. Test it yourselves, it works!

magicule synergy intensifies
