Is salt and pepper's shop worth it?

Just feeling out people's opinions on this. I usually get their big treasure chests, but the constant duplicate decorations make me wonder whether or not I'm wasting money.

I reloaded the game several times to see if it was worth it. Most of their stuff seems to be cosmetics with no actual use, so IF the game had an endless mode you could use them to get some nice cosmetics for your shop. Since there is no endless mode, their store is a huge waste of money only really usable if you're desperate for a specific ingredient and are willing to save scum to get it.

Cosmetics for shop is quite good but too expensive later in game best chest was like 8k gold and bit more..

Their shop is actually very useful. Especially during the first few days of a week. It's the only way to get new materials that doesn't require passing time. Which makes it invaluable in getting Quinn set up ASAP each week. There's also the potential for highrolling the upgrade materials for the new selection of cauldrons and getting that ball rolling earlier than you would have otherwise.

After the QOL updates of the 11/10/22 patch, "you can no longer receive multiples of the same wallpaper or flooring"

I know this works for expeditions, and it should work for these chest too (so far I've only gotten cosmetics I didn't already own), can anyone else confirm this?

This should make these chests a lot more useful.

It's basically an "instant gratification" hero expedition for a high price; usually not a problem once you unlock Salt and Pepper since you drown in money. As said by Shatbat the last fix should remove the inconvenient of having useless duplicates.

It's better now that they fixed it so they don't give you a bunch of walls and floors! Sometimes I used to buy the big chest and almost always got like 90% mushroom floors and one actual ingrediant and I usually already had it already.
