[SPOILERS] After beating the game...
Is there really no post game content? My friend told me the game just ends and you don't get to play freely without worrying about the time limit anymore.
All you can do is reload to a previous save if you want to keep playing on the same playthrough. There's not even a new game plus in case you want to take it easy and try to romance other characters.
I really can't believe that the whole game is time limited.

I just finished the game in the past 5 minutes and am kinda genuinely sad there is no free play after the ending :( I love the potion mechanics and gathering stuff, but almost every enjoyment I had in the game was kinda "wasted" with stressing on the time limits and how to squeeze in the important things as best as possible to win the competition as I already had to reload some of them several times to win and go back to further previous days.

I pushed through the game to finish it, and I was genuinely expecting a free-play to just chill and make potions, sell stuff etc... but instead it just ends and that it. I just want to enjoy the game mechanics, except the super strict time limits, because again, almost my entire enjoyment went out the window by stressing on the super strict time limits to be efficient, instead of having the ability to have fun making stuff I wanted to try.

Considering the Genre's its trying to combine, this feels like an odd choice to just have a Hard Cut Over. Really kind of kills my motivation to even play it knowing this, if there's a game that should have a mode of just looping through building up the shop, acquiring cards, making new potions its this one.

They have a GREAT Game loop and are just Not taking advantage of it.

I really hope an endless mode gets added post-release too, honestly.

Same here. The game has great replay value, but after beating the game with all the resource and time juggling, I'd just want to chill out on a free-play mode.

So I'm not one to comment on discussions, or really do much commenting in general on steam, but it borderline feels like I need to.

I genuinely took to the discussions here and google because I thought my game might have glitched when I went to open my save again and it took me right to the competition. That is just how baffled I was.
I straight up assumed, near the beginning of starting the play-through, that it would be a game where at the end you'd get to casually make money, get more friends/friendship (as it takes quite a bit combined with everything else going on), and then polish up your shop (/fully upgrade it). There was no a doubt in my mind it would be otherwise because of just how natural that would be. Just genuinely shocked, and kinda disappointed honestly. I hope they add a post-game, or game plus, or ANYTHING really... as you state perfect "I really can't believe that the whole game is time limited. "

im on day 43 and i was excited to get to 50 to be able to play without time constraints to simply enjoy the game collect ingredients, getting more cards as you interact with everyone more.

but knowing WE CANT PLAY?

i loved playing this game but getting to day 50 turned from a reward to a punishment,

i mean they could do it without any more time constraints. and just let the game be as it is after we win as a simple addition, just let the days keep going, nothing else. as a quick fix, until they add more content.

ill get to day 50, but after that ill just stop playing until they give us an endless mode after day 50 or more days after 50, i just dont want to lose my shop and all my progress after finally beating the last boss.

lliving peacefully and selling potions with no goal should be their first step. ill come back and play it again when we get that.

as is im really sad we dont get to keep playing

same. i just finished the game and got sad. i was like finally out of debt, now i'm gonna maximize my relationship with Xid upgrade everything*. but i was just kicked to the main menu.

the game is indeed excellent, but if they don't add an endless mode, it'll be just sad.

This right here. I believe the original difficulty of the competition mode was good and should still exist, but we should have access to an endless mode as well. All of us requesting an endless mode are actively asking to be able to engage with their game more than their current design allows. A nerfed competition mode is the worst of both worlds.

I would love to see an option to select endless mode at the outset for those who don't want to deal with competition mode at all, as well as an option to continue into endless mode after winning the competition for those who do want the challenge.
