I don't like games feeling dead silent, it's so unsettling. Disco Elysium got voice overs and it was absolute game changer for me - from no buy to insta grab.
They spent years on animations but could not hire few novice actors which don't cost all that much but often shine with talent and want to be noticed, which is why they'd do at far lower rates than industry's experienced and acclaimed VO actors.
It's a bummer they didn't even try to add voiceovers.
