Playing on PC with Mouse and Keyboard, but the game thinks I'm using an Xbox controller
Every time I boot up the game, it says "Press A to Start" despite my PC not even having any controllers plugged in, and then all the tutorial prompts are for the left/right thumbsticks or the left/right triggers despite a keyboard not having either of those. Even going into the Pause Menu after the 540Indy tutorial didn't show me any obvious options for forcing the game to show me the keyboard controls.

Is there anywhere I can find the PC keybindings for this game? I know that WASD steers and Space prepares you for a jump like Right Trigger is supposed to, but beyond that, I'm operating blind here.

From the Steam store page:

Notice: Shredders requires a controller in order to play. Playing with a keyboard and mouse isn't supported.

That you're able to play with keyboard and mouse is actually a surprise but given the notice above it's unlikely that they'll ever add keyboard and mouse icons. Perhaps there's a mod that changes the icons?

Fair enough. I personally don't like playing on a controller that much for my PC games, but to each their own.

I prefer keyboard and mouse for most games too, though controller would be my choice for this one; in my previous post I meant that I'm surprised those inputs are even there in this game given that it's not supported. Perhaps the game engine the developers use (Unity) has default controls that translate keyboard inputs into controller inputs and they overlooked it or just didn't bother to turn them off?

i fell for that too, lol
were in hope that the game would have a keyboard and mouse cfgs and it kinda has, but most of the buttons in the menu, you cant interact with them using a mouse, but you can still do stuff like spinning or using wasd to move the character (as the guy that made the post said) or even do tricks with the keyboard arrows, but those absolutely dont work as intended..

Hi gg.nadrewod.
We indeed do not support mouse & keyboard.

We also never wanted to disable the mouse & keyboard inputs that were already working by default as it can be useful for testing, but the game being built around precise stick controls and requiring a lot of finesse, even if the controls were working nobody even us would be able to complete the game and have fun with it.

I suppose you can still remap keyboard's inputs to gamepad in the Steam Input manager but I garantee you this is definitely not the best way to play and enjoy Shredders :)

It's fine, I have some controllers I can plug in when I need to, I just forgot about the "Controller Only" warning on the store page and wasn't sure if it was a weird glitch or an intended feature.
