crashing on startup

Game crashes on startup, no matter how many times i open it. it did work once but clicking new game just gave me a black screen.
Cant seem to get this game to work, tried reinstalling it, verifying integrity, running on admin mode, compatibility mode but it seems like nothing will work.
posting the error message for hopeful help.

Starting the game has been a struggle, but sometimes i do get into the actual game and play the first segment of the first episode. until a loading screen happens and gives me a endless black screen.
The same error still happens but with an addition of a new error;

this is happening to me too, every time i load into the game (if i can even get past the loading screens before it crashes) I've tried everything to fix it on my end, glad to see I'm not alone on this issue.

is sucks theyve released a game for fans who have spent 80 euros and it doesnt even work/runs terribly. put a really bad taste in my mouth.

yeah im debating on a refund and then waiting until the release to save myself the $20-40 in hopes itll be fixed. such a shame, i wanted to play this before my favorite streamers released their playthroughs too.

Other things that people have found helpful to their experience: disabling any antivirus whilst playing that may be affecting game files, a fresh install, checking your drivers are up to date. Let me know if any of this helps!

update-that launches the game at least, can select max's clothes and then i cant get it off the loading screen but can hear the gameplay of the door being broken down in the background. bummer.

Hello. The game froze several times after cutscenes. For example: in the third chapter, when you needed to focus on a photo, the game simply did not allow you to do this. Moreover, it did not allow you to do anything at all, you had to exit the game via alt+f4. Playing again until the moment with the photo is not so interesting, since the cutscene cannot be skipped. Please fix this
