The dialog was always cringe in every LIF, but this one takes the cake..
I don't mind gay, lesbian, you can even be a fryingpan for what I care. But this game goes down a rabbithole you will never come out of again.
I just hate when it's obviously pandering af, breaks the immersion.
Good - if you are a Max Caulfield stan
Well worth playing if you liked any of the prior games.
(I don't understand how strongly some dislike it ... it's definitely not the same experience as the first game, but that's on such a pedestal that I don't know of any game that can touch that)
I'm more of the latter, chose the Bay ending. Wondering if I should buy now that it's on sale...Chloe's absence isn't a major problem for me as long as the game has a good story and introduces interesting new characters. Are the mixed/bad reviews valid or is Chloe's absence making them biased?
I'm surprised someone pick Chloe in ending. 1 Chloe for ALL City? Warren, Joyce, David, Kate? really?
I mean, nearly 50% of all players did. Its still pretty much split the middle after all those years and has been since the beginning.
If you ask me, the game has a decent storyline... for the first 3 episodes. Episode 4 is when things noticeably go downhill, and Episode 5 feels rushed to wrap up the main storyline.
I find a good deal of the new characters interesting, though the game doesn't seem to spend too much time with them. Personally, I liked them... though not as much as the likes of Kate, Victoria, David, Joyce, Warren, etc.
I can totally understand that some players are upset how Deck Nine dealt with Chloe's absence, as I even feel that it is poorly done why she ain't here if you chose the Bae ending. Is it enough to justify leaving a mixed or bad review? Well, there are other factors besides no Chloe.
For me, it is the questionable business practices of Square Enix that leave a bad taste in my mouth. Just to name a few: the inclusion of Denuvo, the 2 week early access period locked behind the "ultimate edition", the "ultimate edition" that doesn't include digital versions of the collectibles for the $50 collector's box (which doesn't even include a game code!). And on top of that, for a game that ain't featuring hyper realistic graphics, its system requirements feels bloated, especially for running the game above 1080p 30 FPS.
