I think it's the opposite, I think it was not selling because of the stupidly high price of the game

To be fair to Double Exposure, it didn't go on sale as fast as Dragon Age: The Veilguard did... which was 30 days after that game's release.

It may also be significant that it's discounted as part of a publisher sale rather than as a stand-alone discount - or at least that would offer some deniability.
