Use DLSS Tweaks to Improve Performance
download tweaks from - https://github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks/releases/tag/0.200.8.2

Trust me it works. I went to 80-90fps from 40-50fps with my 4070 TI at 1440p cinematic. and quality doesn't drop a bit

here is the video guide. I am not an expert. so please forgive me if I make mistakes

Wow, thanks! It is a real game changer. My perfomance had a huge boost. Maybe you should make a guide with instructions for more people to know about it?

A guide would be lovely!

Great guide! But I think that it will be easier (and maybe better) to just change GlobalForcedPreset override, depending on what you need.
And you also might want to add it to Guides section and not only Discussions.
I only know this method bro. Sorry I didn't know about global preset

This works.

Getting 110fps full cinematic settings 5120x1440 (in 16x9 mode for actual render of 2560x1440p) with my 4080. I forced Ultra Quality though since I have the extra horsepower.

are you telling me this 2024 game does not have dlss and fsr in its graphics menu?

btw, the preset you want for dlss is e. not a.

for dlaa it's f.

Doesn't seem to work for me for some reason. I've followed all the steps

I can confirm that this does not work at all and is misinformation. DLSS Tweaks creates a log file when you launch the game that shows you that its working and what it's doing. If you look for the log file (dlsstweaks.log) when installing this mod to Life is Strange: Double Exposure and launching the game, you'll quickly see one of two things: no log file gets created at all, which means its not working, or the log will show that it gets stuck trying to look for the game hooking the DLSS DLL, which means its not even being applied.

Here is what a proper DLSS Tweaks log looks like: https://rentry.org/s96ub928

Compare it with yours, if there even is one, and you'll see what I mean.

The reason this doesn't work is because Life is Strange: Double Exposure itself does not support DLSS yet, so the game executable won't even look for and hook the DLSS DLL in the first place. DLSS Tweaks GitHub specifically says that this only works on DLSS supported games.

So you may say, "But, my FPS went up!" This is because there is currently a bug in the game where the graphics settings are not properly being applied. It has nothing to do with DLSS Tweaks. If you go into the advanced graphics settings, change any one of the settings and press apply, you'll see that the FPS will tank right back down to where it was before you installed the mod.
