The First Chapter works really bad, I got around 30fps with a 10900 - 6800 XT and 32gb RAM with ultra settings in 1440p. After that, the second chapter works really well at 60fps.

here is performance on a 4060ti and ryzen 5 3600. Runs decently on medium at 1440p

I got through the first section ok (the brightness was a bit weird, and the eyelashes/hair color kept glitching out to white), but the loading screen plays out the next section, and I'm unable to continue. I hope this gets fixed during the early access, otherwise a lot of people will have spent additional money for it to not function well.

thank you this helped for me too

I discovered you have to restart the game every single time you change a visual setting it doesn't matter what it is even if it's as simple as changing the frame rate cap anything that is visual related at all you have to reset the whole game to make it take a efect and restore the proper performance

its got the early access bugs atm if u dont care for the spoilers i say wait as even with the recommend parts or higher its laggy, crashy and if ur unlucky like me and get a bug where it deletes ur save when u get to the second ep, i had to play without shadows as putting that on ran at like 0.5 fps and why i dont have the best pc my graphics card is 1 below recommended on their site, its hopefully gonna be patched if not im getting a refund and buying it on console which they have their own problems (i really need to get help i type way to much)

I can't even start a new game. It's just an infinite load screen... Is this game really more demanding than BG3 or CP2077? Ugh

I can play the game up to the bar scene, Windows 11 Professional, Intel core i5, intel iRISXe integrated graphics i know that not the exact spec it needed but this PC/Laptop is less then 2 years old it can run all the LiS just fine at medium/low (I customize some of the settings) but either way, wish/hope a patch is made to have the game run on Integrated graphics soon, i don't want a refund but i would like to be able to play and enjoy the game even it's running on low/super low, i really enjoy all the LiS games and would like to be able to play them all smoothly, any tips config changes/dll's etc, whatever anyone can give me that makes it runs smoothly i'd be extremely grateful thanks in advance

First of all you should realize, that the game is not designed for 100+ fps! Its optmized for 30/60 fps, not more. This is also the base for their specs, which brings me to the second point, ALL Specs are named for 1080p!!! So if you are playing with 1440p its normal that a 4060 Ti is not enough for 60 fps anymore, cause the game has NO DLSS!! And with just the pure power the 4060 Ti is not better than a RTX 2070 Super!
Even with my Highend System 7950X3D, 64 GB DDR5, RTX 4090 OC i have "only" 80-100 fps in 4K, not more, cause no DLSS and FG, but its ok, the game is smoothy and i can play it with Ultra (Cinematic) Settings. I have no fps drops or something like that.

lol imagine thinking only 80-100fps at 4k with your $3000 pc means the game is well optimized...

fym "the game is not designed for 100+ fps"? What kinda cope is that???
There's zero reason double exposure should run as poorly as it does, it's a life is strange game. The environments look pretty, but nothing revolutionary that justifies it running this poorly.

If you're happy with your $3,000+ setup only being able to run a story game at 90fps then power to u ig, but remember 90% of people do NOT have a 4090, more likely a 4070 or below.

Humm very strange (as the game hu ? hehe) i have notice that MUCH people seems to have bad performance hardwise wise i mean. With an rtx 3090 FE and old 9900K and 32go i get in the 75 to 85/90 fps in 4k Ultra everything except the very bad one witch is know to have VERY bad performance wise

The second slider for scaling (blur, lighning etc witch it describe) if you put to 100% you can be sure it will be very bad for performance, 50% or 60% yes could be good.

Main problem i could actually it's visually BAD for 4k , smearing etc

But performance is good IF only you don't to maxxed out the second slider for sure or i really like EVERY game in fact going from 2015+ and more: NEVER use Ultra settings witch doesn't scale at ll.

For vram wise in some cases by experience shadows doesn't only affect vram but ALSO performance (but not all cases)

Put high on everything and say some in normal or other and try to slide to 70% the second slider would be MUCH BETTER rendering for sure. You can be sure that the rendering quazlity will be much better for precision with no loss in quality effect in fact.

Except shadows on low i agree

Honestly i am more surprise that a UE5 (not UE4 but UE5 much more heavy) game like that WITHOUT upscaler and other is able to keep on.
