to be fair, the focus of the first game was never about max's "love interests". nobody cares whos gay, but it doesnt need to be pushed. like, when you are asked if you want to flirt with a character and you say your just friends and it makes you flirt anyways? thats pushing. and its supposed to be a "choices matter" game.
again, nobody cares whos gay. but if your going to tell me you dont think its a little over the top, than you care more about the agenda than the game.
people are having problems saving files and the games kinda broken atm, but dont worry, you have MANY "choices" to make max gay. its just kinda not the focus we wanted...

a lesbian couple is one thing, plastering pride flags, pride clothing and trans characters into is where they ruin it, isnt about the artistic charm the original had then, thats when they turn it into a movement

I would not call a franchise started in 2015 "woke". Characters are well-written, their bedroom preferences do not really matter, player is not forced to make contraversial bedroom choices - only the ones that follow the plot of paranormal + murder case.

cause i dont mind it unless its overly pushed onto us, a diverse game can be diverse without being overly saturated with it

And I do mind opinions like yours being pushed onto us again and again - noone is saturating anything, There are just humans wanting to also be represented and valued. There is no brainwash conspiracy, no pushing diversity onto others. Life is diverse (and strange).

But to answer your question: gay, bi and trans characters are an intregal part of the story and the game. Steam allows you to try a game for 2 hours and return it if you like btw, you can just check if it is to your liking that way.

As Max is also considered bi since the first game, it makes sense that she also has various friends in the community. Makes also sense because individuals from the community would avoid "I do not mind you, if you do not overly push yourself onto us" humans and search for allies and likewise minded.

i can't believe this has to be said, but some games, and pieces of art in general for that matter, are made to specifically resonate with a certain demographic that the artist(s) is/are a part of. Life is strange has ALWAYS been a very queer game series, and it's never pretended not to be. It's clearly made for a queer audience first and foremost. as a queer person, i feel it does a good job with representation, intersectionality, and tells an overall really moving story. But if you're some cis straight dude, yeah maybe you're not going to connect much with Max or any of the other characters. Like why don't you just move on to some other game rather than crying lol
