And I don't know why, it was enough for me to just enjoy more storytelling centered after the ending I chose.
Honestly that's a real possibility.
The comics were originally planned to be a 4 issue limited comic series got stretched out to a 20+ issue story. For those wanting nothing more than a cuddly Pricefield slice of life drama, that ain't the main focus of the comics. Instead it focuses on Max getting sent to an alternate reality where Chloe and Rachel are a thing, and Max has to return back to her timeline.
Quite frankly, if you're looking for more than just Max and Chloe, you're better off reading fanfics that LiS players have been putting out for years.
Chloe got shot
the rest is Max coping with the loss and leaving Arcadia because of bad memories
And I wonder whether Max will ever recover from this traumatic decision.
Now that would be a plot twist.
It's just a double cashgrab!
Also in my head canon Chloe will come crawling back in 5 years and then Max will be hung up on someone else. Exactly as what happened to them in the first game.
