How would you even find a common starting point for all those different ending versions in a sequel?
We saw how they already botched the 2 ending choices from Lis 1 for this game, and that was far easier then what they would have to do for LiS 2.
I dont see LiS 2 ever getting any kind of sequel or even mention in future entries in the franchise.
Probably coz it was hyped a lot and LIS players were hungry for next game full of expectations for new, similarly narrative game. After the twin-peakish mystery, based on widely relatable nostalgic school settings, teenage problems and well written characters, LIS2 was very different. Plus it was hard meat for non-US players, as we don't really relate with US politic stuff and such problems.
