Thx for the correction, i only seen the game as a bunch of clips and told from others who finished it.
Why is my Ending different? Is it because i payed the 80 Bucks? Or is it because of my decisions throughout the game?
After i refused the game went Black and " A few days later" came up
Max is on the campus and bringst back the cat, After that a message from Moses pops up that everyone is waiting in the Snapping Turtle and i had to make a decision. As i was going to the bar i got a call from Yasmin, after talking to her i did go to the bar.
Here i talked to Moses and to the others. took a few Photos and after that Max said she stays because something is coming up and she will help.
Tahn it faded black again and the Life is Strnge Double Exposure Logo came up and after that the Credits rolled
After the Credit it goes even further and than the "Max Caulfield returns" comes up
I am extremly happy with this Ending
Also what you described all happens the same in the "Accept" ending.
Chapter 5 also reminded me a lot of the comics because Max jumped there also through a lot of timelines until she finds back to her original timeline with her Chloe
In DE, Safi goes off -> Max killes here -> what leads to Max investigation -> What leads to Safi goes off.
If there is only one timeline initially, Max does not jump in the past to kill her, because Safi goes off AS A RESULT of the events in EP 4.
This is complete mess
As i wrote before Chapter 5 has a lot of the comics since Max could jump through different timelines and different parallel worlds.
She also meet Pixie, a girl who gets timeline vissions.
She also meet Tristan, a timeline castaway, who has the ability to phase out of reality.
Compared with the games there could be a lot of people with powers but they never showed them before, until now.
1. That ending was BS, where is the rest of it. So much unresolved, so much left unfinished, no real solid conclusion. No answers.
2. Game barely dives into the past of Chloe, whats happened since she left Arcadia Bay. Theres no revisit, theres no resolution between her and the people she met in Arcadia Bay. She doesn't even really explain everything that happened to anyone she really cares about now for some emotional resolution. Shes still showing major issues and symptoms than need to be resolved about her past, Chloe, the storm, everything.
3. I am not a fan of the ending. We go from 1 person with powers, which were degrading and getting worse over time, to now theres at least 2 more people with super powers. It essentially forces us to eventually become enemies with a friend from the beginning of the game, as there is obviously going to be a huge switch where we are forced against each other in the future, or we become evil ourselves.
4. Theres no explanation about the storm, what happened, where did it come from, who causes it, etc etc. Theres obviously a large over arching secret going on in the background and there little being given about it.
5. I am not a fan of repeating events. The end of the original game is essentially the same as the ending of this game, just with some additions since Max can choose a new option. It made the story quite predictable.
I only got this game because of Max, its connection to the original game, and my desire to see how max has progressed since then. The addition of cosmetics that can only be obtained through spending more money, on a single player game, only adds more salt to the wound.
If they decide to continue this story line, I expect answers, real answers, with a solid conclusion, and fulfilling post conclusion resolutions. I expect to see a real romance for Max, and to see her truly happy. These are what I was hoping for. Instead we get a Max who is really the same person as she was in Arcadia Bay, slightly older, slightly smarter and more experienced, but still damaged, broken, and suffering from the past.
