Blame Square Enix. They're notorious for trying to sell more DLC piece meal and upsell the ultimate edition to make more money. Their "Augment your Pre-Order ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" is what ruined the initial launch of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

They basically tried to put micro transactions into a SINGLE PLAYER game. At least the ultimate edition here comes with more outfits and other content as DLC. Even then, it'd be more worth it if it included a bonus chapter or small story.

Yeah, the normal version is 49. I find it surprising that the base edition is cheaper than True Colors base edition

49€ for the base game so nothing special, True Colors was (and still is) 59€ for example, it's still twice the price of previous LIS (around 25€/30€) or TWD games so to say, but 49€ is not that high when you see the price of some games xD

But I really hope Double Exposure will be better than True Color and worth it's price because even if I liked True Color (at least for me) def don't worth more than 25/30€ at full price, I find that previous LIS were way better :/

It troubles me that these developers perceive their game as having greater value and esteem than Baldur's Gate 3. It is priced higher than Baldur's Gate 3, which strikes me as absurd.

And mind you, I don't even hold high expectations for this game, and this sentiment is coming from someone who is a fan of Life is Strange.

BG3 is just 30$ and that game gives tons of hours of gameplay than LIS which is linear 10-15 hour of gameplay

Yep, i can pay 15 euro for Resident Evil Village which lasted me around 30 hours
I doubt this game is gonna get even get discounted that much

It's on the steep side. I loved LiS but it's not exactly a long game.

Perhaps this one is radically different, but I doubt that. If I get it I'll be looking at discounts with other retailers like GMG etc.

True Colours in terms of released LIS games has been the most expensive game and also the shortest. I wouldn't entirely hold out hope this is going to be considerably longer.
