Developers can always use the money to help improve the game.

Plus, if you preorder on steam, you can refund your game up to two weeks after release. Just in case it turns out to be rubbish. So it's not really a risk.

I believe that if you play the early release chapters for more than a certain amount of time (2 hours?) that would also invalidate the free refund.

GreenManGaming lowered their price even more today, just waiting for the XP bonuses for June to come about and I'll probably jump onboard too.
Without any context on what 'Cat Content' is I can't imagine paying $35+ for Ultimate though..

well I found episodic format way better, esp if it fits and has reason as in first LIS game. With episodes you can play with information, give fake clues, hints, build the lore, community, theories(though it also means u need good story and double work and money for story writers to provide field for such a things). If it releases every month and each ep has reason and plot, perfect for me. Not like now whole game plot told rightaway in a trailer

That's going to be a huge double edged sword and make these forums an absolute nightmare of spoilers when you have maybe 10~20% of people discussing the events of chapter's 1 and 2 while the majority are still waiting.

I really hope the devs/Modteam here creates a separate spoiler sub-forum when the time comes.

Good for you mate, i too don't care what people say whenever i see my favourite games i simply Pre Order. Two weeks early access is a need! Ultimate is it!

I didn't even bought True Colors tbh I got it on my monthly Humble bundle.
And as expected when I played it it was really disappointing

This one "may be" interesting because of the time / space powers which did the success of the first game. But then again IDK, feels like Deck Nine is good at fanservice but not good at games as whole independant stories.

Cautiously optimistic. I didn't like BtS or LiS 2. True Colors was okay but not even close to the feeling of LiS 1. Overall, I'd say that Deck Nine has, at least a decent chance to come up with something good and I'd argue that not even Dontnod themselves could come up with a truly magical continuation at this point. They are not quite the same studio they were back then.
If anything, Deck Nine seems to have to heart at the right place...maybe. We will see. No preorders. I'll wait for critical responses.
