True Colors decided to use a new protagonist. And while the game was met with better reception than LiS 2, it was considered to be "playing it safe". I guess Deck Nine is now simply responding to the fans who wanted more Max again.
Another murder myster, we had this.
Saving her friend, we had this.
College setting, we had this.
I like Max but im not a fan of this plot, doesnt look very promising to me.
It doesnt have that same magic from the first game, i belive.
You hear the name Max but cant get hyped.
Let's be honest. Whatever direction they would have taken with an LiS that has Max and Chloe would have upset SOME of the fans. Whether it's fans who wanted the "Save Arcadia Bay" ending or "Save Bae" ending. Also, I think Chloe's VA Ashley Burch didn't come back for "Before the Storm". So all we know, they didn't have her again, and probably didn't want to alienate fans. Hell, no matter what they did, some people were gonna be "#NotMyChloe".
Yeah that's the thing I'm thinking about. If it was new characters, I think it can be fine. But with this being a "sequel" I'm just not seeing how it would make sense mhm.
I am interested in that "Lost Records: Bloom and Rage" coming out late this year though. Could be interesting.
Was excited to see Max again since her power fit the adventure game style better than the others, but then removed the game from my wishlist when I saw that it's Deck Nine instead of Dontnod.
Someone else already mentioned so thank you, I am aware of that. My point still stands though that some people would be upset regardless.
Seperating Max from Chloe just because they had to include DEI characters is beyond retarded.
And you think a game with Max but without Chloe would not offend the most loyal fans this franchise has? ♥♥♥♥ Deck9 - May this game be the end of the studio.
Not everyone liked Chloe, just so you know.
