I'll grab the standard and then see what that 'Cat content' is/hope that's a standalone DLC.
you can play episode 1 and 2 two weeks before game release with the ultimate edition. and yes plus costumes and the cat content.

Yeah that sort of gating is kind of icky.
In this case however I think I'll 100% be busy with Metaphor Refantazio "2 weeks" earlier than October 30th, so I'm more than happy waiting for the standard edition release date :P
The comics were great, even the Alex/Steph ones going on now.
And game reviewers are poor when it comes to reviewing the series.
