There are plenty of reasons why an after the storm game would be a bad idea, including the fact that I don't believe they, or dontnod, were even able to write out the story for it because it was simply impossible because they wrote themselves in a corner, otherwise that would of happened years ago. I actually said years and years ago that the only way that a sequel would even work is if it either took place in an alternate universe and if Chloe was absent as to not affect the canon of Life is Strange 1.
I do agree though in that I don't feel as though Max is going to be fully utilized either, and that perhaps this game might be a more plot focused game. Her character also looks, off, idk.
Honestly my only other worry is that this is screaming "Tell Me Why 2" to me as I was reading and seeing the other screenshots and details on the steam page, which I liked Tell Me Why don't get me wrong I just hope it isn't too much of a copy for its own good to where it's either too similar, or distracting from the game.
as much as i want to play this immediately, i wont. The pricing of these games is horrendous for what it has to offer. the only reason i really played True colors was because i got it for cheap from Humble Choice.
Maybe ill check it out if i can get it for like 20$. i will have to see what the reviews say first which is probably going to be filled with people with nostalgia which isnt really helping the case but whatever
Deck Nine can't do games. First, `Before the storm` which felt like `Life is strange` fanfic. Then we got `True colors` which was mediocre at best. Now this
All we have is Deck Nine to continue the LiS IP. I think they do a solid job with the polish, but don't quite penetrate the soul of the original.
Unfortunately, there is some history with Deck Nine and "controversy" (out of respect, I won't post links, but it's pretty easy to Google). These specific controversies kind of tell me that the company can't properly portray the characters unless they made a lot of internal changes (and I hope they have, I would like to hear that very much).
If anything, I hope to see future previews that prove me completely wrong. I really hope so.
To me Deck Nine games just dont feel anywhere close to what Dont Nod was doing.
