Have client send bethesda database the server ip to which he is currently connected and unix timestamp
And display player count from bethesda db in server browser for each specific server ip
A lot of servers show 60/64 but in fact are empty or filled with fake clients.
This could be mitigated
I believe that fake player counts/severs filled with bots faking being players is most signifcant factor towards low real player counts nowdays
- Thanks
Are you using default client or ETLegacy? i think ETLegacy fix that issue
https://www.etlegacy.com/
I think it has to do with ww2 symbology in any variation being banned there.
Nope, the general ban in Germany on symbology in video games was lifted in August 2018, you can search for in google. You can even buy all wolfenstein titles fully uncut in Germany.
That is the problem with notable news bites, you don't get notified if that stuff gets lifted and that ban was stupid to start with. Suppress the imagery too much and you risk the issue coming back with interest.
you can make steam to run ET:L instead of that outdated engine they have shipped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUxPCx1zbAs
