Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

[SOLVED] My frame rate is really low - has anyone encountered this problem?
My computer's specs are:
CPU: Intel I5-9400F
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: Geforce RTX 2060 6 GB
Drive: SSD

When I join a map my framerate oscillates around 25-35 fps. I get a solid 100+ fps only when I look directly at a wall / floor from a really close distance. What may be the cause?

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED

In my case, setting the cvar r_primitives to "2" fixed the problem (the default value is "0"). You can do it after entering the console (the "~" key by default).

That's a good question :D I found this command online when searching for the solution, but I can't find what it does exactly. Everyone simply says: "just set it to 2", but nothing more.

r_primitives was just using the wrong method on some cards or drivers causing problems for some people, especially on AMD cards, a lot of people found they got their FPS back with it forced to 2, so it just became the suggested norm.

I tried this command, it doesn't help me in the 90 fps menu, when I go to the 10-20 fps servers, are there any other ways?!
