Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it? Also, if it keeps happening, maybe try opening it directly through Steam?

Yep that low level d3d11 error is getting a few people, myself included.
I did email the dev, but no word yet on a fix.

Could be because of the last patch. It's hard to say but I would try to start it in Windowed mode or borderless. If it works, start from there and work my way up to the source. If it is graphic related, of course.

i changed it to the lowest settings for my one and it still shuts down after giving me that same message

To those experiencing this issue, have you posted your system specs? They can help the dev determine where the problem may lie.

There's a sticky thread in the forum listing some things you can try to resolve D3D-related issues, do check them out if you haven't already.

The D3D errors aren't specific to the developer of the game, but the engine (Unreal 4) used to make it. Several games have the same issues and it only affects some system setups and not others. The unreal 4 engine creators know of the errors but has not done anything to solve it. Try the sticky like Ideal suggested. Do them one at a time and see if one of those items solves the issue.

We definitely need system specs. There's no way to identify what is the problem without them.
