Skeleton Spear / Sword and Shield / Bowman and Zombie survivabilty Buff
I had an idea about the survivabilty of those unit types i think that the crumble system is a fine addition but in this game system a bit too punishing ( the randomness is fair but still brutal sometimes). How about a passive for those unit types that give them the chance to "regenarate" lost units. So basicly if a skeleton squad fights in melee against a other infantry squad it gains a chance at the end of battle to regenarate the loses by rolling dice for all lost units. If u lost units u throw 1 dice for each unit with a chance of 6+ to get it back. Maybe u could upgrade this passive with the stronger summons skill tree so u could get it even to 5+. For my taste i am to forced to chose necromancer if i want to have my skeleton units to live longer after the first crumble and it would be a nice touch to have the undead "rise again".

For Zombies have the chance on 5+ with the option to upgrade it to 4+ this would make them from a trash tier unit to a solid frontliner who can hold the line for a long time.

This passive has no affect on units who got killed by crumble so u dont have a undying army.

If those units fight against cav, monsters or warmachines this passive would have no affect.

I agree, it sucks a powerful undead knight could instantly be lost to crumble the same way a zombie does.

Having spells or a raise again ability would definitely make it more appealing.
I mentioned something like this in another thread, but instead make it like the Darkborn Slaver upgrade, just instead of gold per kill you get model replenishment. That way your hordes are rewarded for slamming into and slowly eating other units and can use that to better survive the long legs of the campaign.
