How do i see models?

I saw someone play on youtube being able to see unit models if zoomed in? I cant do that in my game.

It's currently only live on the test branch, to access it right click SOVL in your library, click properties, then Betas, then opt in for it and you'll have the models, might be some bugs though.

I can see the models for the non-dlc factions, using the methods you mentored, but not for the dlc ones. Is that the same for everybody?

Its only a beta surely in the future there will be a full update that includes all factions

That's correct, currently only the base races and Lizardmen dlc have models
