Tips for Challenge level 6?
Edit: I've done it. I've finish Challenge level 7.

Just reroll first day untill you get 2 good units or at the very least one decent unit and one very very good unit. This and the heroes are the unit you want to try keeping alive, Everything else is gold fodder.

Don't be afraid to throw fodder guys away If it means keeping the good units alive.

Range unit sucks. Geting one or two is not a bad idea. But don't expect these guys to win you the game. Just know that these guys are just fodder line infantry that can shoot and have less replenishment. The only good range units in the game are the one that can instant delete enemies, have good move speed or ones that can actually hold in melee.

Don't bother replenishing artillery units. Get coin collection skill and collect gold. 1/5 hp artillery deals the same dmg as a 5/5 and dies the same anyways.

Cursed Banner is a must on pretty much anyone you can afford it. Only buy armour and mist banner on non fodder unit, in that order.

Most broken skill in the game Hex, try to always go for it. 2nd most op skill is regeneration.

Best stat is attack. 2nd best stat is defence. Wound is 3rd, 4th is power.

ALWAYS GET THE T-REX. Most broken unit in the game. Can basically solo entire armies.

Strongest item/skill is anything that gives you more attack stat.

Always go the route with the heal camp before boss. If you know there's a jealing camp ahead, Just collect gold on everyone. Maximise gold income if possible.

Flanking is nice and all, but you don't always get the chance. Your god tier units will need to brawl from time to time. Don't be afraid to go for a head on fight. Use your fodder to block enemies from flanking your god tier units if you have too.

How to deal with enemy range unit spam? Enemies will always target the nearest one to them from what I can see. Just send fodder ahead of high hp units. If all else fail, just use your god tier units and charge at some weak fodder or an opponent you know you can break.

Original Post:
Been trying to get to challenge level 7 for the imperial wizard, but the enemies just spawns wayyy to much units for me to reasonably handle.

Like there was one time where an enemy spawn like 4 cannons with like 2 10 sizes knights and 3-4 25 units army.

I don't see myself winning these kinds of fight unless I get lucky and get one or two OP units/skill with the right events. The level of attrition is just too high.

Nvm, just cleared it. As expected, you just need to get very lucky and get that one or two unit that can basically solo the map. The others are just gold fodder.

I've always gone for quality over quantity when it comes to my army. get few, very strong units, spend money on upgrades and only buy more troops to fill a gap in the roster or if there is a good deal on a solid unit.

Mass infantry and artillery can work well for infantry too. Wide blocks of halberdiers with some buffs can be brutal. Having one or two gryphons or dragons to do some flanking charges helps too, even if they don't actually kill anything.
