I agree with your sentiment though. The game suffers from use of AI art, but at the same time I think it'd also suffer if it had no art at all.
You people are adorable, how about you pay for a dlc or two and drop a NICE message with "I hope this will go toward paying for some real artwork, thanks for a great game" along with it.
If you meant immoral, by it's definition gaining at the unwilling expense of another is a fairly overt breach of morality.
