How to build a Hexer?
I've just unlocked Hexer, and from my previous experiences with JRPGs, most of the bosses at these games are immune to status effects, so I was wondering if it's the same in this game. If not, I'd love to know how you guys build this class, as I love status effects and I want to play with this character. Thanks in advance!

Etrian Odyssey is completely the opposite in this regard, status effects are not only effective against bosses but extremely good against them. That includes proper statuses like poison but also binds and debuffs. I can't help you with Hexer builds as I have not used that particular class, but I can tell you this - binds will disable moves that require the bound body part. Most spells are disabled by a head bind, for example, so any skills that bind the head are invaluable against spellcasting enemies. Same with arm binds against physical FOEs. Try to keep track of which binds are effective against certain moves when using such characters.

Oooh so binding is very good, I'll max them, thank you very much! >=3

I'll add to it, each enemy does have resistances against status ailments and binds, some are immune, others are super weak. Bosses tend to be resistant, but rarely immune to anything.

The only iffy status ailments are poison, curse, instant-death, and stun. Poison and curse typically don't deal good damage (poison can in some EOs). Stun requires you inflict it before the opponent acts that turn. Instant-death, while technically possible to inflict on bosses, is so low of a chance that it's not worth bothering (Skills which inflict it have around 30% base infliction rate and bosses often have 99% OHKO resistance).

It's probably worth noting that in EO1, bosses tend to be heavily resistant to ailments, but somewhat decently vulnerable (usually) to binds.
Also, the Hexer's Sapping skill is probably their absolute best skill due to how EO1's damage calculations work.
